Hello, Newbies or Newcomers of Steemit!

You probably wondering what you should be doing right now after the signup and getting your Steem account. What to do, how to do it right and so on..if you never been into the world of blockchain or crypto world before, this ecosystem might be too complicated or daunting for you especially with the long gibberish and hard to remember master password(we usually copy/paste the password/private key in the blockchain world, not memorize them) and all the other keys that you have received at the beginning of your sign up here, there is a lot to be explored after you get your golden key/master password(make sure to keep your master password somewhere safe, this represent your lifeline on Steem blockchain, if you lost it, it is game over and you just have to start over again..)

What is Steemit?

Now you're here on Steemit, one of the many front end or User Interface/UI that is built on the top of Steem blockchain. You have probably been introduced to Steemit by a friend saying that you can make money by writing or socializing on this platform then you came here and see that this platform is more complicated than the other mainstream social media like Facebook that you used to.
The difference between Facebook and other social media with Steemit front end/UI is that:
you are interacting with the Steem blockchain in the background which is more complicated in nature while using Steemit platform to interact and do all the work of writing your post, upvoting other users' posts and doing the steemitwallet page for the financial transaction. Basically, Steemit is like other social media apps but was built on top of Steem blockchain and also recently been integrated with Tron Blockchain too, that is how you earn TRX token on top of Steem/SBD and Steem power on your post payout.

Are there any other Dapps or UI like Steemit on Steem blockchain?

For now, we have Nutbox.io, Steemcoinpan.com and currently, still, work in progress Steemfield. There is steempeak.com too but I'm not sure if it still working fine or usable as the creator of this UI have moved to another similar blockchain and abandoned this UI. I hope that you will stick with using Steemit.com as we have a lot of support program and incoming cool updates and features on Steemit interface that will be implemented soon.

Trusted Mobile DAPPs on Steem blockchain

As for mobile apps, please do not download any Steem apps on google playstore or Apple Store that claimed they're official SteemDAPPs or similar claims.

At this time of writing, we only have Wherein.io and @playsteemit for the mobile Dapps that we can trust as they're created by active, well-known, and can be trusted Steem blockchain community developers.

Why you should not install and login into other mobile Dapps?

Your steem account can be compromised or be hacked if you log in into these DAPPs with your posting key, active key, or your master password as we don't know the creator of this DAPPS if they're having malicious intentions toward their users.

Recommended roadmap for Newcomers on Steemit

If you're totally new to the blockchain it is recommended that you join other newcomers at Newcomers Community and try to complete the Newcomers Achievement Program that has been prepared for you to learn about Steem ecosystem and also you get to earn at the same time as The Steem Greeters Team will upvote your task posts that already been checked, corrected if needed and giving it a Rate for the upvote in a later time.

• Steemit Nursery Community
  As soon as you join Newcomers Community, you should be in this Steemit Nursery Community as this is where you can meet other newcomers and also existing newcomers that will guide you, and you may share your contents or topic of interest in this community too.
  You will be supported there until you have the badge of Alumni or you have been in Steemit for over 2 months and we are hoping that you have already explored the existing community on Steemit by then and becoming part of this community of your interest.

• Apply for 500SP Minnow Support Program
  If you have completed until Achievement 4 at minimum, you may apply for the 500SP Minnow Support Program for Newcomers(Revised Edition)500SP Minnow Support Program, this program basically helps/support your content on Steemit until you have a total earning of 500 SP including SBD/Steem conversion.
  I recommend that you should keep this 500SP to join any community of your interest and support this particular community by delegate your steem power to their community curation account so they will in turn happy to supporting you on Steemit and growing your account steem power to where it will be worth something when you upvoting others contents.

While you're in this first 2 months of your life on Steem Blockchain it is recommended that you should be commenting and networking a lot with other existing users and also other newcomers of the same interest.
Find a community of your interest and make yourself known or introduce yourself to the community leaders or their moderators so they aware of your existence and you may ask them to take you into their community and grow with them.

**Tips: find a community that has a solid plan on how they going to support their member, this one you can check if they have a community curation account and have a mission to be a self-sustained community, not just fully dependent on community support program account like steemcurator01/02/03/04/05/06/07/08 or other community support program like booming01/02/03/04 without having their own community curation account in place.(Community without their own community curation account to support their members and just dependent on those mentioned curation support program is just milking or taking out as much as steem token they could without supporting the ecosystem back, they usually will disappear after no more support like this given to their community..)

**Tips: It is good to put the link of your Achievement 1 post/your introduction post link at the end of every of your post in the early days of your journey on Steemit so existing users on Steemit get to know you better and most of the people here love to support those who have done verification on who they are. You don't need to expose all your personal identity here, just a photo of you holding a paper handwritten with your steem account name, Steemit and recent date would suffice.
