THE DIARY GAME | 10-11-21 | SURPASSING 3 MAJOR SURGERIES || A MOTHER'S FIGHT FOR OVARIAN CYST
Good evening ladies and gentlemen.
Honestly, I don't know how to start this content but I'm gonna try to create and please be advise that there are photos that is not pleasing to the eye.
After what I have shared in this community about my father's journey, I thought that the two battles we encountered was the last major challenges that we need to face this year. But again, I was wrong.
Last September 29, 2021, my mother performed whole abdomen ultrasound due to abdominal pain and unusual size of her stomach. We thought that it was due to her gallbladder stone but the result came unexpectedly.
The result of her ultrasound was lower abdominal mass and it is huge. Her doctor advised as to seek an OB-GYNE for further evaluation. We performed another ultrasound to visualize and identify the location of that mass. Through Transvaginal ultrasound, we found out that she has ovarian cyst.
We went back to her OB and was advised for an emergency operation because the cyst is too big and it needs to be removed as soon as possible.
We are turned between financial capacity and my mother's safety. We immediately look for ways to gather funds. My sister created a donation drive and with God's grace, a lot of people shared thier blessings no matter how much the amount was given, we accepted it whole-heartedly.
The total amount we gathered was 40,000 and was enough for a downpayment. We immediately scheduled her last October 8, 2021 for operation. She was admitted a day prior to her schedule for follow up lab tests and blood screening.
The operation lasted for about 4 hours, it started at 8 o'clock in the morning and ended up at 12noon. The procedure was TAHBSO or Total Abdominal Hysterectomy and Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy, a procedure that totally removes the uterus, ovary, fallopian tubes and cervix.
Thanks God, the operation was successful. The cyst was removed. Below is a picture of her cyst.
I can't imagine my mother carrying that huge cyst inside her stomach.
Her ovary was removed too.
Today, she was given a discharge order but unfortunately we still don't have the funds to pay the hospital bill.
My sister and I went to Department of Social Welfare Services(DSWS) to seek an endorsement for financial assistance to Department of Social Welfare and Development(DSWD). Unfortunately, we are not able to go to DSWD because we didn't make it on time.
Hopefully tomorrow we can let my mother go home and settle the bill. Hopefully DSWD will grant a higher amount so that it will not be hard on our part to look for additional cash payment.
Our family survived not once, nor twice, but three major surgeries this year. We are still thankful to God because He never leaves our side despite those challenges.
I would like to say thank you to Miss @kyrie1234 and Sir @juichi for being so supportive and for being a chat away if I have emergency. To those who shared their blessings, (you know who you are) THANK YOU SO MUCH.
To my steemit family, thank you for all the upvotes you gave to my content. I was saving my SBD because I was aiming to contribute to my communities but unfortunately I always withdraw my earnings because of emergency situation.
One day, I will return back the good deeds that you gave me.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
Always,

I hope all of your family gets well soon - you've all had quite a year!
The #wox-helpful would like to contribute towards the bill and we are just confirming how much at the moment - hopefully this will ease the burden on your family.
😭 thank you so much sir... it will be a great help for my mother. May God bless you and your team.
She was given a discharge order last Monday, but until now we are not able to have the full amount. We are planning to do a promissory note today just to take my mother home.
I suspect that you're all very much looking forward to getting home.
Do you know how much more you need to pay the bill?
My mother was discharge last wednesday sir, the hospital required as to atleast pay 50% of the total bill and lowered some of the professional fees. We took a promissory note to pay the bill on staggered basis. We still have a balance of 36,000php.
Thank you for the extra information - I have been in talks with #wox-helpfund board (@xpilar, @adeljose, @the100, @sultan-aceh and me) to see how we can help you and would like to donate 600 Steem to your bill. @xiplar will share this with you soon. We hope this helps you and your family ♥
I am so thankful to you guys for extending your help, for supporting my mother. One day I can give back the good deed that you shared to me. Thank you so much for your kind heart sir. May God bless the you and the entire team as well as the Steemit platform.
