Solar System and Earth:
The solar System is composed of eight planets which revolve around the sun in their respective orbits. This system is originated about 5 billions years ago when a cloud of gasses and dust began to spin. This gaseous material began to cool with the passage of time and appeared in the shape of solar system. In the centre originated the sun while the circulating gases and dust became planets which begans to revolve around the sun.

Sun
Sun is a brighter star. It is comprised of hydrogen and helium gases. The temperature of its outer surface is about 6000°C. It is a biggest source or light and temperature for all planets.

Planets
The planets which revolve around the sun in their respective orbits get light and temperature from sun. Our earth is one of these planets which revolve around the sun in 365 days and 6 hours.

Shape of Earth
Earth is round like a footbal. If we travel in any direction on earth we reach at those point on which we start travel. There are many experiment and theories which prove that earth is round even scientist take pictures from satellite have made it easy to understand what is the shape of Earth. If we cut the earth along equator into two halves then the distance from start to end is about 12750 kilometers and it is diameter of Earth. If we move along the equator and take a complete round the distance is about 40000 kilometers and this is the circumference of Earth. The surface area of Earth is about 510 million square kilometers. The earth moves around itss axis and it is called rotation. The movement is from west to east and the speed of movement is about 1700 kms per hour. The earth complete its rotation around its axis is 24 hours and in this form day and night are formed. The movement of the earth in its orbit around the sun is called revolution. The movement of Earth around the sun is anticlockwise and the speed of movement is 107000 kilometers per hour. The earth complete its one round around the sun in about 365 days and in this form seasons are formed. The orbit in which the earth revolves is oval in shape.
