Is It Good To Be Bilingual

Hi Steem Kids & Parents, I am doing perfectly fine and my week is going on smoothly, I hope yours too is going on smoothly as well. Please I would love to share my own little view about this contest @goodybest " is it good to be bilingual?"

First of all, I would love to start from defining the word, BILINGUAL.
Bilingual is someone who can fluently speak two languages. Example below, someone who can speak the Yoruba language and Igbo language. Another is, someone who can speak English Language fluently and Arabic language.

I would boldly say YES, it is good to be bilingual because of its many benefits.

Like right now, I speak Efik and Yoruba. So if am opportune to speak more languages, I would love to add French and Arabic.

Below are the benefits of speaking more than one languages;
MORE JOB OPPORTUNITIES: one is open to more job opportunities eg in Nigeria, imagine working as an interpreter or an ambassador.

One has more opportunity to relate more better.
For instance, I speak English and Yoruba, then am opportune to meet up with someone who can also speak the same language, it is very obvious that we would do more things together.

Best communicator: our communication will grow stronger because we would want to use the language wherever or whenever we meet.

When one is bilingual, it means one finds other cultures interesting.

People tend to find you attractive because you stand out.

Better memory: For you to speak two or more languages means you have a very good memory that keeps and remember things.

Business advantage: you are opportune to get things at discount or lower rate. This one in particular, is more rampant and happens on a regular basis.
