Weekly Drawing Contest Week #28 Begins: Draw A Box Fish

Here again is another weekly drawing contest which is all about a box fish. Thanks to @eliany and the steemkids & parents community for organising such a great contest. Below is my content about the box fish

MATERIALS USED IN DRAWING
✨A4-Sheet
✨Wax crayon
✨Pencil
✨Eraser

Step1
I started by making a box kind of curve then insert a small mouth with a round small eye

Step2
Then inserted fins to the body, completing the mouth and eyes region too.

Step3
I made a box shaped fish with fins using my pencil

Step4
I used my yellow wax crayon to make it beautiful and worth looking. Including the black dots too

Boxfish which is also known as cowfish accompany with hard dotted black body which stays in shallow water bodies like the ocean. Why there are known as the cowfish are because of thier hornlike projections on some of thier heads.

Yellow box fish lives in deep water bodies like the ocean behind hard rocks beneath water surface and only comes out in search of algae and crustaceans. There are salt bodied aquatic animals that live mostly in deep waters.

Box fishes are not easily seen because of their kind of habitat. They live in oceans and behind rocks and are rarely seen. They're are somehow found in zoos mainly kept as an attraction to tourists.

I have seen them in movies and pictures not in real life, I think they're not really common here in my country. I have seen some other aquatic animals but for box fish it's my first time hearing of the name.

Box fishes are eaten by many because of its nutritional value. Apart from the nutritional value they're kept in the zoo's which in return gets revenue to the nation. Most of the boxfish are kept as pet in some of the homes.

They're not dangerous unless you attack them which they blow themselves up to release ostracitoxin which are very poisonous to the health. Box fish are lovely and friendly when especially when they're kept as pet

Just asked my mom about the box fish and she said we consume them alot here at home. I looked at her and told her the toxins the fish produces. She said the fresh ones seems poisonous but the dried ones are nutritious.

This contest is really of great benefit to me because have researched so many about the box fish and its habitat. Thank you for going through my post
