Wow, this is an interesting one. Firstly, this is where analyzing your performance comes in to see if you had actually worked in the direction of getting upvotes in the last 7 days. Users don't have a complaint to make if he/she has not made any effort.

There are several community curators handling different themes and as of yesterday, the total is 5 and has been increased to 6 in the newest update. I believe out of the 6 categories, there must be one that would interest a user to write and position themselves for curation.

That said, the Steemcurators are doing a great job rewarding writers in the ongoing challenge and other articles published on Steem, I commend their efforts. I call this a self-evaluation contest, lol, and it would draw users closer to the utilization of the Steem tools. Great piece, @ngoenyi.
