Homo words are words that are used exclusively by humans. They include words such as "man," "woman," "boy," and "girl." In some cases, these words may also be used to refer to animals , but they are not typically used to refer to objects or concepts. For example, "man-made" is a word that refers to objects or concepts that were made by humans, while "natural " is a word that refers to objects or concepts that are natural.
Types of homo words
Homophones
Homophones are those words that have the same sounds while speaking but different meanings. For example, the the word live means to continue to exist, while the word lie means to tell a falsehood.
homographs
Homographs
Homographs are words that have the same spelling but different pronunciations . For example, the word high means to raise or elevate, while the word hi means humble.
Compound homographs
Compound homographs are words that have two or more homographs in them. For example, the word high school means both the school and the level of education it provides.
Qualities of the homonyms words are given below
1 we can use these words in same sentence
2 we can use these words in different clauses
3 they are not interchangeable
4 these words are most commonly used in formal writing
5 can be difficult to differentiate for some people
6 there are not even more than
7 there are more than 6000 homonyms in the English language
8 sometimes these words have different pronunciations
9 homonyms words are always means the different from one another
