Hello Kids!

I'm delighted to make this post about social skills. I trust you're all doing great and steeming. As u may have already noticed, having great fiends and spending quality time with them can be so much fun. But at times, there's always this person that's out to spoil the fun. Could be the way they talk or the way they play...always coming with needless extra energy, you know. Some people just seem to lack the skills to keep the fun going when staying and playing with them. They get angry over little things, they start fights easily, the withdraw from play, and keep malice over simple misunderstanding.

Well, without blaming anyone, we need to understand that no one is born with social skills. We all have to learn them as we mingle and play with our friends and siblings. Yes, everyone has to learn and master social skills.

Keep in mind that social skills help us communicate and interact with people without offending them or breaking any rules. It makes people enjoy our company and always want to spend time talking with us and playing with us. When we lack social skills, people won't like to talk or interact with us.

How many social skills do you know?

As you may have noted, social skills are important life skills. But do you know th de skills? Below are just a handful of them. Look at them and keep them in mind.

What can you do to improve your social skills?

Remember, no one is perfect and so it's okay to be lacking in one or more of these skills. So don't be embarrassed if you realise you need to improve your social skills. But how can you improve them? What can you do to improve your social skills?

  • First, don't keep to yourself. Get close to your friends and mingle with them without feeling inferior. This will make you feel good about yourself and confident; it will reduce your shyness.
  • Second, be a good listener and pay attention to how your friends feel and respond to you when you are with them. This will help you know what they like and what they don't.
  • Next, pay attention to situations that make you feel uncomfortable. This will help you minimize how much stress you're exposed to.
  • Identify skills you love to see others show, could be the way they talk, act, or treat others during playtime.
  • Ask for help from people you love and respect when you're not sure of what to do in a situation. This is a way of avoiding mistakes which can hurt you and your friends.

Try to go over these 5 tips again and see if you can remember them offhand.

From what you've learned so far, I believe you would love to have good social skills, won't you? So, which of your social skills would you like to improve?

Thanks for sharing good tips

Maybe many people want to share the problems they are facing with friends or other people. However, it is not easy to find someone to trust.

Very true! We feel safe with the people we trust. The first step towards trusting people is getting to know them. Eventually, you will find that trustworthy friend.
