The Diary Game - 22/04/2024 - My Day In Words And Pictures

Shallom and great day to you all dear steemians, it has been a wonderful new week with promising daily activities both offline and online.

The new day dawn like every other days and I went out in the morning for a fitness walk that took me through Ikot Ekwere Itam to Itu road round about. What am I seeing?

I could see that the motorcycle riders are much in number, waiting and some conversing amongst themselves and I wonder what could be happening again this early morning.

The response I got was that there is another fuel hike due to hoarding by the fueling stations who refuse to reduce the price and sell at the government approved price. Some stations that initially sold later shut down abruptly with no genuine reason

As a result, motorist rush to buy for keep. The government tasks force were out to checked for proper price adherence, hence the marketers resulted to hoarding and later sale at night with exhaubitant price that favors them. This is a serious situation if you ask me.

This is really bringing untold hardship to the people in the country. Many couldn't make it to their place of work as the commuters have increase their fare. Some of the Keke riders complaint of not have fuel since they could not see the fuel to buy.

Be that as it may, for me I cannot wait endlessly on the road waiting for Keke so I have to moved on with my walk to church road. At church road I met these ladies taking shot on the road, and I only recalled that there are different things for different folks. Variety they say is the spice of life, while some are crying others are making jest of the situation.

Well, that is the irony of life. Life must go on irrespective of how much a litter of fuel is sold and how much a dollar is to naira. We are Nigerians we know how to adjust. We hope it will subside in a couple of days to cushion in the effect of the hardship.

My walk was successful as I got to my destination and attended to what I went there for.

At the end of the day, I have since walk back home to rest for the day, and I have make over 10,600 steps to keep fit and healthy.
