STEPS ON HOW I PREPARED A DELICIOUS TASTY JELLOF RICE 😃

INGREDIENTS FOR THE JELLOF RICE

  • 3 cups of Rice
  • sachet tomatoes
  • Cray Fish
  • Vegetables leaves
  • Maggi
  • Onions
  • Salt
  • Groundnut oil
  • seasoning [MADISH]
STEP BY STEP PREPARETION

The first step I considered was to parboil my 3 cups of rice. Firstly I added 4 cups of water into the pot then I boiled it for about 3 minutes before adding my already washed rice into the boiling pot.

I parboil it for about 5 minutes then I poured it out into a plastic bowel, and then washed it using clean water.

  • STEP THREE

At this point I added, my pot on fire then adds about 200ml of groundnut oil into the same pot, I allowed it hits for about 30 seconds before adding my sliced onion into it and then stir for about 1 minutes.

After adding my onions, I then considered another step which is adding my sachets tomatoes into the same pot and the continue to fry for about 4 minutes, and when I noticed the tomato getting dark I then move into the next step.

At this point once I noticed the my tomatoes has been well Fried, I then started adding my ingredients one after the other, we first ingredients was my salt and Maggi, I add about half spray of salt and two cube's of Maggi.

As I was done adding my salt and Maggi I observed the taste, and indeed it taste was so sweet. Finally I add about 2 cups on water into the same post I add my fried tomato, Maggi salt and many more.

After adding about 2 cups of water, I then Add my Cray fish, and vegetables leaves, and also added my seasoning [MADISH]. As I was done adding all the necessary ingredients I then covered my pot and allowed it to boil for about 5 minutes.

This is almost the final stage, At this point in time, I then considered adding in my already parboiled rice which has being in a bowel for some time now into the pot on fire which I added both my tomatoes and ingredients. After adding the parboiled rice into the pot I then allowed it to boiled for about 8 minutes in other to make it water dry off.

Absolutely, At this point my JELLOF rice was now ready to be served, I then brought it down from my dad's cooker, Added some to my plate, in combination with my Malt and pour water. I really Enjoyed myself and indeed it was really delicious and nice.

I do hope that one day I get to eat jellof rice as I have read so much about it.
