How to have a successful blog? Part #1
01/21/2022 | by @saracampero

As you know Steemit is a social network where each user manages a wallet and a blog, for this reason we consider very important that all publications have many features similar to a professional blog, I say professional because in Steemit there is a lot of competition and the best publications will get the support, so we should always try to be the best.

Having a blog is not just anything, although we know that most have only created their blog with the intention of making money, rather than seeing it as a hobby. But we must know that a very popular or successful blog requires a lot of things like time, dedication, and many strategies that allow us to always be in the trends. So I invite you to continue reading and knowing all those "key things" that a publication and our blog must have to increase the chances of success and connect with other users.

What a good publication should have?

Visual Elements

Visual elements such as pictures, emojis and illustrations are one of the most important things, some people tend to be more visual and good pictures will be part of that attraction needed to keep our followers hooked.

  • Random images from the internet should not be used without giving credit, also it is not recommended to use just any random image from google, if not free to use images like Pixabay.com which are free and free to use professionally and commercially. So, stop using any google images to include them in your posts even if you credit the owner.

  • Do not use watermarked images, watermarked images are not free to use.

  • Original or self-created images or photographs will always add value to the quality of our publications, compared to using images from other authors.

In Steemit it is recommended to add more than 4 images or photographs in a publication so that it has a better quality

Creative, original, and useful content

Most people surfing the internet are always looking for something, like a tutorial, a recipe, or just something entertaining to read. But fixed, they are always looking for something of interest to them so it can be advantageous or beneficial to create publications that can be of interest to a large mass of people, popular topics such as food, music, art, entertainment, finance, business, cryptocurrencies, technology, women's issues, among others.

The creativity with which you develop your publications will give the personal and attractive touch so that people can identify with you and stay hooked.

Original content will always have much more value than any other, since it is something exclusive that supposedly will not be found anywhere else on the Internet. Being original will always be valued by society, although generally we always see repeated content in different blogs, about the same subject, the same recipe, but with one ingredient more or less, things that at any moment will bore users. So, if we combine creativity, originality, and usefulness when creating publications, we will surely increase the chances of success.

Writing and structure

An interesting, creative, and entertaining text will help you hook people, that is why it is important to give our text the best organization so that it is very easy to read "obviously" accompanied by images according to the topic that is being talked about, without forgetting to have our keywords very clear and defined, which are the ones that will make it easier for people to find our post.

The structure or way of ordering our texts will make it much easier to understand the things we want to say when writing. The basic structure for any post should have:

  • A good title: Try as much as possible to only write the title without adding additional text that is irrelevant, such as 50% for the community, dance your body, joy macarena, the strongest in the valley, anything that is not relevant is not you include it It is also essential that the title is normal, just like the evaluators or curators do, avoid writing everything in capital letters, in such a way that it looks as neat as possible.

  • Summary or an introduction

  • Development of the topic

  • Conclusion or closure.

  • And the popular (call to action): Here we refer to inviting the reader to go to another site, read another publication, buy a product, attend a current contest, a tutorial or guide, etc.

In Steemit it is recommended that the publications have more than 250 words so that it can be of quality.

The most important

A complement for readers to stay hooked on you or your publications, and have frequent visits to all publications, is the interaction and feedback with the reader and with the other authors of the community, that is why we always recommend interaction between all the community users, i.e. create a strategy so that you can visit as many posts by other authors every day, maybe 20 or 15 a day, obviously support them with upvotes and comments.

I hope that all this material is very useful for you, I believe that the things that were discussed today will be useful for your Steemit blog and any blog in general, and they are necessary things that every blogger should know and know. Also, this is the first part of this guide for Steem Kids so that all users from all countries can learn a little more and improve the quality of their publications.

Thank you very much for coming to enjoy my blog, I hope you liked it and come back soon. Until next time ❤️
