How do I become a successful steemian?

Hi guys,
It's a pleasure on my part to share with you these tips for being a successful steemian. I'm doing this today because of the many calls, and the different messages I have been receiving on different social media handles from steemians here in my country Nigeria and beyond.

I have indeed been privileged to be one of the most successful steemian on this noble platform and for that reason, many more responsibilities are seen daily ranging from guiding others, maintaining the standard and also acquiring more. Today, I dim it necessary to share with you all simple ways or strategies to become one of the most successful steemian.

The first and most important way to become a successful steemian is to be consistent. It is said that consistency is the key to success. If you want to get to the top, you will have to continue struggling no matter the current situation you are passing through. Most people come into the platform and start blogging, if after some time they don't get support as usual, they get angry and leave.

Every good hard work indeed needs a reward and that is the reason why the steemit team had made provision for the smaller curators such as 03-09 accounts. With these accounts, you will get a little support and if your article is worthy enough you may be selected to receive bigger votes from the big curators.

So in essence, don't give up because of a lack of reward. Always encourage yourself and remember that your being here is not just for the money but for the love of blogging. So continue posting and don't always expect anything as a reward. If the reward comes fine but if it doesn't, we move ahead.

Another major way you can become a successful steemian is by having a goal. You can only achieve what you visualize. The problem with most steemians today is a lack of goals. This was the major reason I organised a contest here recently titled my steemit goal. Everyone needs to have some sort of direction or goal that he/she wants to achieve within a given period.

Once you have a set goal, you can easily work towards it and ensure your goals are achieved. You can decide that your goal is to achieve 5K SP before the year runs out. Now what will you do to achieve it, you have to ensure that you put down the steps and always have it at the back of your mind that you need to do it to achieve your goals.

One of the major ways to grow in the steemit platform is via engagement with other steemians. The steemit saw how helpful this will go and that is why we have today the engagement challenge which is still running to its season 8. Steemians love it more when you read through their entry and then drop a valuable comment about what they have written.

I was privileged to come across a @dobartim who is the owner of steem schools. He gifted a certain steemian 100 steem or more because the steemian usually read through his blog and make meaning full comments on it. When you build such a relationship with those who have succeeded, they too will always drop by to check on your blog and they will in turn support you.

Contest participation is a key way to grow the platform. When you participate in the contest, contest organisers will get to know you better and if you write well and become one of the winners, you will get a support vote from the team millionaire and that will go a long way to increase your earning on the platform.

Most times, we lack what to write to draw the attention of users or curators to our posts hence with the help of various contests, you will have something tangible to write almost on daily basis. I advise every steemian who wishes to be successful to always follow @disconnect for the latest contests.

There are more than 30 contests every day arranged by @disconnect hence you can check his blog and see the latest and check which of them you can be able to participate in and try daily to enter at least one. This will help you grow significantly. I don't stay a day without dropping a post on my blog.

Information is power. If you are not informed, you will be deformed. In other to be successful on the steemit platform, you must always follow the latest news about the happenings on the steemit platform. We know that the chief curators don't make posts but most times they drop valuable comments on some of our posts educating us on a few things which will help us become better steemians. Almost daily, I follow their comments and I get more inspirations to write about the message they have shared with a user which may be valuable for all.

Doing so always keeps you up to date with the happenings and the changes on the platform and that will keep you a step ahead of your equals. It is recommended that everyone checks comments and news from the steemit team through the @steemitblog and adjusts to any changes in the platform.

Plagiarism is a serious offence on the steemit platform hence for you to be successful, please stay off this crime. Plagiarism as we know is presenting someone's ideas as though they are yours without proper references. This is a serious crime on the platform and all those caught losses their reputation.

From the incident seen above, you will agree with me that the steemit team is not happy and will not tolerate anything on plagiarism at all. It will be difficult for this user to receive support from the steemcurators account again. So we should suffer the pains and produce quality content and then avoid any form of plagiarism.
