I cannot read this language. But I guess the meaning Hachi is the dog name from the Japanese Film. Actually when my dog Fumiko walks in the streets, lots of people say Hachi hachi. the truth is, Fumiko is a Shiba Inu, not Akita Inu. therefore, Fumiko cannot grow up and become as big as Hachi.
