In maintaining food supply and food chains we need to pay attention to the balance of nature and the environment. Otherwise, there will be a humanitarian crisis as you say.

With the support of advanced technology and good governance, I think the global food crisis can be overcome with livestock programs to produce meat, eggs and milk in animals.
