FAVORITE HEALTHY DRINK | HERBAL DRINK - IRAMUSU

In Sri Lanka we called Iramusu, Hemidesmus Indicus is an herbal plant that could be found in any part of Sri Lanka. Iramusu is a semi-deciduous woody vine that grows on the ground or on a supporting plant.

It has a fragrant woody root system that extends deeps into the ground. The young stem has bud. The matured stem is ovoid and milky. The leaves are facing each other. They come in a variety of shapes, from oval to linear. The white stripe along the midrib of the leaf is a distinctive feature of the plant and it is not present. There are two types of small and large. Iramusu is a native plant.

Iramusu is known blood purifier and a cooling tea in the ayurvedic medicine. This herbal plant contains Hemidesmine smilasperic acid in its root. Usually, entire plant helps Ayurveda doctors to treats various illnesses. Although it is an aromatic herb and it has a mild bitter taste.

Diarrhea, Lymphatic filariasis, Conveyors, Gandamala diseases, arthritis, leprosy, syphilis, injuries, improper secretion of breast milk, anorexia, urinary tract infections, urinary stones, breathing difficulties, inflammation of the body, sore throat, dissolving gum in mouth, arthritis pains, worm diseases, abdominal pain, insomnia, premature greying of hair, discoloration of the skin of the face, Iramusu whole plant is used to treat many diseases including haemorrhoids.

With properties of reduce rashes, eczema, body odor, cough, asthma, blood disorders, diarrhea, thirst, inflammation. There are a number of medicines that are made using Iramusu. For the Mouse venom can be used as a root decoction. However, this is a very healthy drink. It is also used in combination with various different medicines. A very good medicinal drink can be made by mixing only boiled water with Iramusu plant. It very easy to make at home.

Required materials :

• Iramusu plants with roots

• Water

• Take some Iramusu plants and wash them to clean very well.

• Then take a pan for boil them, and add 2 cups of water to it.

• Let it boil with in 20 or 30 minutes in mid flam.

• Then we can strain it and drink it.

Drinking this drink daily in the morning and evening is very good for the body and it is possible to avoid female and male infertility by drinking it for 7 consecutive days. This drink has a very sweet aroma. It tastes similar to water and is not difficult to drink. This is very familiar to us because it is a day to day home-made herbal drink.
