Are the "gods" at work here? Are these spirits? Is this God's hand?
Good question. It seems impossible to pull all of this off just through an evil master mind. Who knows. Maybe they use an AI. Or it is all indeed some synchromysticism of the universe.
Humans are too chaotic and sloppy to pull even a fraction of this off. Even people's birthdays and death dates align. The elite secret societies must be fully aware of this all along, but are only watching and worshiping the alignments with rituals. That's all they know they can do, and they celebrate the manifestations and venerate the Satanic gods.
Hell, these date connections align to centuries past - likely back to the beginning of time; thereby ruling out an AI based algorithmic system.
Even an AI system today would never be capable of anything close, because the humans responsible for creating the hypothetical numbers based AI algorithm couldn't coherently pull everything together in such a context to follow the developed patterns, forget the people needed to cooperate and execute the phenomena after a pattern is "planned" - without making a single mistake all the while.
This is the hand of something else entirely, something like inter-dimensional manipulation. Spirits in the minds of men, bending the will and actions of men beyond understanding to follow a divine plan.
