Caterpillar of Doleschallia bisaltide
These photos were taken by me last Sunday. A caterpillar with a brilliant color is found in the jungles of North Aceh. Black with white stripes, its entire body is covered in metallic blue spines, and it has red markings on the left and right sides. Of course, if you touch the spines, it will be bad because your skin will be irritated.
I found that the caterpillar is the fourth instar larva of the Doleschallia bisaltide butterfly, or commonly known as the autumn leaf, belonging to the family Nymphalidae.
