The Branded Swifts Skipper (Pelopidas sp.)

in Beauty of Creativity3 years ago (edited)

This afternoon I saw the branded swifts perching on the weeds in my yard. The size of a little finger with a light brown color, and there are white spots on the wings. Its eyes are so cute, they are like chocolate Cocho Balls. The two antennae sometimes wiggle up and down.

The branded swifts or Pelopidas sp. is a species of skipper butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae, first described by Francis Walker, in 1870.
