A day full of blessings for all BoC members, today I bring some photographs of the first flower of a pumpkin plant (here in Venezuela we call them: auyamas).
This in particular is a medium to small pear-shaped pumpkin, very good for different preparations such as soups, stews and desserts, it also makes a delicious, very nutritious drink.
This particular plant was born alone in a part of the garden, most likely some seeds fell when it was dumping organic waste as fertilizer into the soil.
These days I discovered that it already has many flower buds and today it woke up with a beautiful yellow flower fully open. I took the opportunity to do a photo session between portraits and macro close-ups.
I took a few wide shots to capture the entire flower and then slowly got closer for macro-type photos of the central area and the pistil.
This time, I placed the A7S camera in “portrait” mode, this gives a different texture to the photos and handles the light automatically. I also took close-ups with the camera zoom. Of course there was plenty of sun and then I made adjustments to lighting and sharpness with Adobe Lightroom.
