Snails are mollusk creatures that have spiral shells to protect their bodies. They live in a variety of habitats, from land to fresh water and sea.

Snails have unique characteristics such as their characteristic shells which can vary in color and pattern. They use the radula, a serrated tongue-like structure, to chew food such as plants and algae.

Snails are also known to have the ability to close their shells with an operculum if they are threatened by danger. Despite their slow movements, snails have an efficient way of exploring their environment using mucus produced from special glands.
