"Smoking Kills!" is a statement used to describe the harm caused by smoking. The phrase suggests that smoking has a damaging effect on health and can lead to various life-threatening diseases such as cancer, heart disease and stroke.

Smoking can kill because cigarettes contain harmful chemicals that enter the body when a person inhales cigarette smoke. Some of the chemicals contained in cigarettes such as nicotine, tar, and many more can trigger inflammation, cell damage, and changes in the body.

In addition to the negative effects on health, smoking can also trigger fires and potentially take the lives of not only the smokers themselves, but also those around them, as we hear from some terms, cigarette smoke is very dangerous for passive smokers compared to active smokers.

Therefore, avoiding smoking or quitting smoking is a wise and important choice to maintain the health and safety of oneself and others.

What are the main reasons why people become addicted to smoking?

Smoking addiction can be caused by a variety of factors, including psychological, social, and biological factors. there are several main reasons why people become addicted to smoking, including the content of the cigarette itself.

As a smoker I can mention the reasons why people like smoking, the first is caused by Nicotine content, Nicotine is a substance found in tobacco products. When someone smokes, nicotine goes directly into the bloodstream and reaches the brain in a short time.

Stress and anxiety also cause people to smoke as a way to cope with stress and anxiety, because cigarettes provide a sense of calm and relieve excessive anxiety even in a short time.

Because it has become a habit, smoking can also be formed due to the influence of social environment or certain psychological factors, such as smoking after eating or while drinking coffee.

I as an active smoker feel some changes after experiencing addiction in smoking, one of which is like what I experience is that after I eat heavy food, or am enjoying coffee, my mouth feels uncomfortable if there is no cigarette that accompanies me, even so, I always remind myself, in order to reduce the number of cigarettes I consume every day.

What should we do to reduce the rate of smoking addiction?

Quitting smoking can be a big challenge for some people and I've been there myself after trying to quit, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

It is important to remember that smoking has a very detrimental impact on health, and there is no good reason to continue smoking. If someone wants to quit smoking, they can seek support from family, friends, or medical personnel.
