RE: Evakuierung eines Hornissenvolkes

OMG, what a story !!! The truth is that here we never let the wasp or bee honeycombs grow, we hardly see a small honeycomb we remove it because they are dangerous, especially since many children live here, there is currently a diaper on a lamp post and they are planning how to remove it because it has grown up fast and we shouldn't be careless.
I like the detailed way you have told everything and I was able to live every moment, the truth is I would not have endured so much hahaha I am afraid of them, I am allergic and the truth is that just by seeing one of them I get away ... and the sound, God !!! I am terrified by the sound of the buzzing, it makes my skin crawl, honestly I would not have lasted that long hahaha .... Thank God everything had a happy ending.

My congratulations to your brother Michael, he is a hero with everything he did, I admire him for his bravery hahaha.

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback!

Basically, all the insects mentioned are really harmless - they only sting when they feel threatened. Respect is important. Especially when children are around, I can of course understand your fears: It's hard to explain to children that they should not lash out wildly. You have to be careful, it's a threat.

Did you know that bees, wasps and hornets can smell the chemical scents that are released when you are scared? This makes them anxious because they suspect danger to themselves!
So always be brave - like my stepbrother Michael... ;-D

Best regards from Northern Germany,
Chriddi

Well with my big daughter I have to be careful because she likes to catch insects, my little daughter unlike when she sees an insect, whatever it is, she screams and runs, she gets very nervous and it is dangerous ... and in my case ... There are some insects, I don't know if they exist in Germany, here we call them cigarette, I'm going to put a photo for you ... well I have bad luck with those bugs, and the truth is I think it is because since I was little I have a lot of terror of them and I know that they can perceive that ... they can be a meter away and I pass by and immediately they approach me and I get out of control because I really fear them a lot, more than a bee or a wasp ...

My insect identification book says this is a "Large Wood Bee". If it is, the animal exists in our country, but very, very rarely. It is threatened with extinction.

Our "normal" bees and hornets actually only sting when they sense danger, feel annoyed. There are much worse beasts that just sting because they feed on our blood: Horseflies and mosquitoes, for example... 😖

ah yeah, it's the same one, because here they open holes in the trees, there they are in extinction but here they abound a lot. Where my mother lives there is even more because there are more trees, it is a more rural area. There are black and orange cigarettes.
