It is my pleasure to participate in @benton3’s drawing competition in the Steem4Nigeria community. The drawing for today is going to be about a jellyfish. Let’s get started and create this lovely sea creature on paper to a life!
To draw a jellyfish, I used simple materials:
🔹 A white paper,
🔹A pencil,
🔹An eraser,
🔹A black pen
✅ Start with the Head: First, I sketched the upper part of the jellyfish’s head, which is approximately a tetrahedron shape, a sort of like an umbrella.
✅Draw the Tentacles: With its base contacting the head, I made curved lines, giving the appearance of tentacles that droop downwards. These are the loose, hanging parts of that aquatic animal known as a jellyfish.
✅Add More Tentacles: Then to make it look more realistic I drew more tentacles than the first, each of them drawn out in smooth curves.
✅Outline with Black Pen: With the black pen, I made the outer lines darker and I noticed that the jellyfish became clearer.
✅Finish with Pencil Shading: Lastly, I took a pencil and placed a little pencil shading above the identified area at the upper part of the body of the jellyfish to give it the impression of depth.
With that, I had the final drawing of the jellyfish.
A jellyfish is a member of Cnidarians class characterized by its smooth bodies and in particular a bell shaped body together with trailing tentacles. As with all invertebrates they do not possess a backbone. Jellyfish exists in virtually all the seas and oceans and these animals swim by contracting their bell-shaped bodies.
Oh yes I have! I have seen jellyfish many of times! Everytime I get to Cox’s Bazar, I do not miss the chance to visit Radiant Fish World aquarium I have seen jelly fish swirling around the fish tanks. The see through appearance of their bodies and the miniscule slimy feelers of the creatures interest me. I got an opportunity to witness jellyfish during my trip to India and the VG Marine Kingdom. Every time they captivate me with their appearance and with the way they walk, and it is really something I have never seen before.
Surprisingly,, jellyfish have some positive impacts to the human beings. Jellyfish extracts are also used for realizing possibly effective cancer and neurological illness therapies and collagen from jellyfish is used in cosmetics for moisturizing and elasticity. They also learn about their basic neural systems to understand the way large brains operate too. In some cultures people even prefer to eat jellyfish as a food item. All the same, jellyfish have beneficial uses in areas of health, research and culinary.
Jellyfish is an invertebrate like a octopus which has a soft slimy body and has tentacles to help it swim or to help it capture its food. Both eat flesh, meat, seals fish and other small sea animals. They use appendixes to catch its prey, jellyfish possess a organelle called nematocysts while octopus has a cup shaped suckers.

Hi @aspiya i really enjoyed reading your post, and your drawing is really wonderful. Success in the contest 🤗.
Muy buen trabajo. Felicitaciones.
¡Saludos amiga!🤗
