INTRODUCTION

Welcome everyone to another week of glamour filled with positive expectations. Indeed, the year is gradually coming to an end and already we have started looking at the things we could achieve or accomplish and the things we could not.

The dry season which notably comes with hot weather, is now setting in and I'm making this article to remind us about the need to always stay hydrated. Water is an affordable commodity that is within the reach of the poor and rich. But the major concern here is how clean and hygienic the water is? This is to say that knowing the source of the water we drink is very important.

Suffice it to say that the source of the water is clean and hygienic, I go in to discuss why we should stay hydrated especially during the dry season.

Having water all around is not just enough but how clean and pure the water is what matters most.

Some of the safe water for drinking include:

  • Alkaline water

  • Mineral water

  • Purified water

  • Distilled water

The quantity of water to be taken to stay healthy by being adequately hydrated is dependent on some factors. These factors includes:

  • Climate conditions
  • Age
  • The nature of job one does
  • Environment
  • Health conditionsetc. All these factors makes the levels of our water intake different from one another. For instance, those who work in hot weather conditions are recommended to take between 14 to 16 liters of water per day.

It is estimated that about 2 billion people globally lack safe drinking water. This make the this group of population to go for unhealthy or unsafe water sources. It then means that there are high chances of an outbreak of diseases which could kill people faster than war weapons.
