The Diarygame Tuesday 12th November 2024: "My Shopping Day"

in Steem4Nigeria8 days ago

Dear Diary,

I am super excited to write you today. I have been yearning for this moment, but circumstances kept preventing me. How are you? I believe you are fine. I want to share how I spent Tuesday 12th of November, 2024, with you.

I have wanted to get myself, my husband, and my daughter new dresses, but I had to wait for a big market day where we could buy quality dresses at affordable prices. The Aforementioned day was Itam's big market day, and the market day was spectacular because people traveled from different parts of Nigeria, like Abia State, to sell and buy things in the market. People who Import cloth come to the market and sell them at wholesale price, and I believe you see the reason I had to wait for the market day.

I woke up early and prepared myself and my daughter, and we left for the market. On getting there, I had to go to different shops so I could compare the prices and qualities and make my choice. I was disappointed, though, because of the hike in prices of things, and the inflation rate was double, if not more. I purchased a sample lace cloth of 161 inches( three and a half yards) for myself and my daughter. The price was double compared to the one I purchased six months ago. Take a look at the cloth below; how is it?

When I finished purchasing my clothes and my daughter's, I had to move to the Area of the market where men's clothes are sold. This one was tougher because it was men's wear, but I had to do it myself so I would get the color and material I love. The seller presented different materials in the purple I wanted, and they were of different qualities and prices. I chose the best quality for my husband. My husband appreciated the clothes and loved the quality, and I am happy I got the best for him. This is the material below;

The next place I visited was a tailor's to give my husband's clothes to him. Since he's his tailor, he has his measurements already. He will sew a senator suit for him, which is traditional attire for men in this part of the world. I also go to my seamstress to give her my clothes, and she will sew a bubu Gown for me, which is a traditional attire for women in parts of the world.

This day was all about updating our wardrobe, and I am happy I did. Thank you for reading; I appreciate you. One ❤️.

This has been my diary.

Best regards
