Hello guy, I am so glad to participate in this Steemit for Nigeria contest.

  1. Lamp: This is a local lamp which is popularly known as (pitila) by our parents, this was what our parents used during the dark hours of their time, it is made up of Iron as the main body parts and transparent glass which is responsible for the light in the lamp to be visible and to shine. The lamp was very important to our parents and it served them up to expectation before the modern electricity came into existence because modern electricity is easier to use than the local lamp, our parents decided to pack aside the local lamb and continue using the modern election.

  2. Local Trap: This was in existence during our fathers' generation, they used it as a means of catching Bush Meet to eat and pests that destroy plants.

  3. 35cl minerals: This was in existence even in the 1990s, it is a soft drink (mineral) and to me, the taste of the mineral is a bit different than today. Also, the bottle is different from the bottle of today.

  4. Old Naira note: This is the type of money that our forefathers used during their time and these days is very hard for someone to see a Naira note because paper notes have taken over in this generation

  1. Old wall clock (agogo): this is an old wall clock which was used in the old days by our parents but in this generation, a new modern wall clock has arrived for us.

Is the value of currency used in your country appreciating or depreciating?
In this our generation currency have completely depreciated, these days you cannot use your 1,000 naira to buy food for yourself in a day talk more of buying for the whole family. The prices of every commodity in the market have Risen, feeding has become very difficult in our country Nigeria because of the depreciation of currency.

Deliberate on the prices of 5 commodities in your country 10 years back and now.
Prices of commodity these days is rising everyday by day

  1. Rice : around 1990s to 2013, the prices of rice in my country was very affordable for people but since from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, the price of rice have risen

  2. Maize: The price of Maize used to be 30 Naira per measure but the price kept increasing everyday by day today in my country the the price of maize is 800 naira per measure.

  3. Clothes: clothes used to be very affordable in Nigeria but today, a common person cannot affort good clothes because of how expensive it is.

  4. Fertilizer: This is supposed to be affordable for the Common Man to farm and apply on the crop but the price of fertilizer today is not affordable rather is very expensive for the Common Man

  5. Yam: yam today in my place is very expensive a common man cannot afford yam is 1,500 and because of this, poor people don't eat yam in my place

Has these changes affected you? If yes, how. If no, tell us your secrets

Absolutely yes, the change has affect me so much that I cannot longer cope up, things I can afford before I can no longer afford them again.
Because everything have become very expensive common people like me cannot even afford Good Food, cannot wear good clothes. Even when am sick, I cannot afford good medication for myself.
Seriously is not just easy most of us today in our country are living by the grace of God.

Finally i want to invite @vickyson, @josepha, @dave-hanny.
