Introduction

Hi lovely steemians, it's your favourite @eveetim. Hope June has been favourable to you? If you ask me I'll say it's been beautiful. You know a lot of people have died in the past 6 months, but for us whom God has kept, it's worth thanking the almighty God for His grace and blessings.

So lovelies, I just want to tell you about my day, Sunday 30th June 2024, which I will tag: Sacrifice. As usual, for those who have read my Sunday diary, you will know that it's usually a very busy day for me from morning till night. Yes, it's always a busy day, but today's own was just one of its kind.

Morning

Usually, I wake up by 5:00am or 5:30am to prepare for the day. So today wasn't an exception as I woke up by 5:30am, went to the kitchen to boil water for bathing, then went back to pray, after which I woke my children up to brush their teeth and I also brushed my teeth too. Then we all bathed, fed the children and we hurriedly zoomed off to church.

Afternoon

I know you're really waiting to know about the sacrifice, right? Just don't be in a hurry. The service was in two parts, the one in my local assembly and the one outside our zone at the RCCG Akwa Ibom Province 1 Headquarters.

The flier for the event

Immediately the church was dismissed from service in our local assembly, we all moved to the province for another service, which happened to be a praise programme to appreciate God for His blessings and benevolence for the past 6 months and half of the year. That

isn't all. It was to also thank God for the next 6 months ahead while expecting more from God.

We all arrived safely. We met the other people as the event had started. You know what, the event was so colourful as each zonal choir was to praise God in different languages in Nigeria. We were lucky to have picked one of the most popular ones, the Yoruba tribe. Each zonal choir was to dress in the native attire of the language we represented.

Evening

One after another, the different choir groups took turns and time to sing, dance and shout as much as they could. It was all glorious till it came to an end when we said our dismissal prayers and wrapped it up by sharing "the grace." As we all departed home at about a few minutes past 5 o'clock.

That was a huge sacrifice, isn't it? From waking up by 5:30am to getting home at almost 6pm. Don't forget my family went home after our service.

I was exhausted when I got home, but the deep joy in my spirit couldn't be quantified because I was truly blessed by the different ministrations. I danced as much and thanked my God as much as I could.

I went into the bathroom, took a shower, then headed to bed to rest. I mean I didn't feel like eating. I managed to make dinner for my family but only managed to make garri flakes with biscuits. I mean, that was what I felt like taking, though we were offered light refreshment at the church. Still in bed, I lay there to pray and also make this post.

The first half of the year is gone and I'm wishing you all a superlative new month of July and a prosperous 2nd half of the year.

Blessings follow you!

I can see you entered His gate with Thanksgiving and His court with praises; that's the way forward, and you made merry in the house of your God. Congratulations on your next level my friend and a happy new month.
