The Importance of Knowing God.
Serving God is a thing of joy if only you know him in person. I'm happy to share with you The importance of knowing God.
The word of God is the backbone of Christians but so many times we neglect the word of God because we have not fully known him as a person in our lives.
Some persons just read through the Bible daily as a routine but they don't really have an understanding of what they are reading about! The word of God had made it clear that he would enlighten the eyes of our understanding.
When you read the Bible without the help of the holy spirit, you will remain a baby Christian. This is because you are not receiving what you should from the word.
The first book of the Bible is the book of Creation and Genesis 1:3 is where God speaks! "AND GOD SAID" You should remember that we are looking at What is the Word of God? This contains laws that govern the affairs of man for the reason and why man was created.
John 1:1-4 [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was true in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
In a layman's understanding, the word here refers to what we say out of our mouths! However, I want you to know that the power of the word is God! Since you were born have you seen the words you are speaking?
All I want you to understand is the word of God was with God in the beginning and the word is God himself! He said let there be light and there was light. In his word there is life and life is the light of men. So that light that shined in the beginning remains the light of men and it represents God.
The word of God also made us understand that as he is, so are we in this world! It's only the spirit that can reveal this truth to you, through the power of revelation. No wonder the Bible reveals that, the Word was made flesh and dwells among us.
The word that was with God became flesh so that you will believe in him and he made it clear by saying "I and my father are one in ruling power!
• By studying the Scriptures
• Through fasting and prayer
• Having quiete time with God
• Set your minds on things above
• Attending the fellowship of Christ
If you can observe the above, you have a true picture of who God is! The Bible has made us understand that he's a person and that is just the facts about him.

In conclusion, Jesus is the word of God, he was born as man to take away the sins of the world and to crown it all, as many who recognize and receive him, to them he gave power to become the Sons of God.
