[No room for Excuses] - Action is required.

Giving excuses is a common practice which many people including some of us are victims of. It comes with the explanations we tender to justify or explain away our behaviour, actions, and inability to execute a particular task.

I really want to talk about excuses and encourage my steemian friends to say a capital NO to excuses as the excessive use of it can hinder personal growth, relationships and progress.

KANU NWANKWO

Why Kanu Nwankwo?

Kanu Nwankwo, the retired Nigerian professional footballer who played as a forward had all it takes to give excuses but didn't, rather he stood firm and overcame what seemed like a challenge.

Nwankwo was at the peak of his football career after he won his Atlanta 1999 gold medal when a medical tragedy struck. He was diagnosed with a heart defect that threatened to cut short the amazing career of a gifted, talented, focused, and hardworking individual.

Most people believed Kanu could never play professional football again, but he was determined to prove them all wrong. With his firm faith in God, he underwent a successful heart surgery and returned to play football professionally.

Upon the surgery, he put his best in his football career and become one of the most celebrated African footballers. My dear friends, I say "Don't give up, Say no to Excuses." "A man who failed yesterday could be picking up the seeds for tomorrow's greatness."

SYLVESTER STALLONE

Sylvester Stallone was suffering with inferiority complex and anger caused by complications during his birth that resulted in the lower left side of his face being paralyzed, including parts of his lips, tongue and chin. Struggling with inferiority complex and anger, this boy got into fights often.

Judging from his anger issue, people concluded that he might likely end up in jail. So how does a guy with snarling looks and slightly slurred speech become well known for his Hollywood action roles, boxer Rocky Balboa and soldier John Rambo?

Sylvester Stallone did not become a star in one day; hard work and dedication got him there. He overcame anger and inferiority complex to get there. There are a lot of great achievers and celebrities whose beginning was rough, time will not permit me to name them.

I want to use the story of these two celebrities I've just mentioned in this article to encourage my good friends to say no to excuses and I urge you that is reading this post to make up your mind and make a strong determination that you will succeed in all your set goals.
