Hello friends

Tell me who doesn't want to earn a living? I guess you know the answer already.

In my opinion, having a degree is amazing. It is good to get enrolled in school, and get a degree. Going to school and having a degree plays an amazing role in our lives. But I am not of the opinion that one can not get a well paid job because he doesn't have a degree.

Infact over here in my country, the reverse is the case, it's like those who didn't border having a degree seem to do better than those who have a degree because at the end of the day, the one who doesn't have a degree gets the job and the one who has a degree spends his life looking for job.

There are many people I know who don't have a degree but they are doing so well in life both with their financial life and in their chosen field.

I have a friend that dropped out of school when I was in school. He said he could not cope with the unfair treatments from lecturers and from the economy of the country.

He decided to learn a skill and opened up a shop close to the school. Before I graduated from school, he already bought a car and built a House. He did so well that many of my colleagues felt like also dropping out to. Today this guy travels out of the country as though it is found in his backyard.

5years after graduation, I met another school mate of mine, she graduated with first class from my department, I asked her where she works but she was too ashamed to tell me she works in a secondary school as a teacher. Her first class degree could not get her a job.

I don't think so, moreso I think it simply to point us to the fact that depending only on your degree to get a well paid job may not be the best thing to do.

Aside degree, you need to make other efforts like connect, learn a skill and work harder. So depending on just a degree this days is just a mistake.

Oh yes it is very dangerous having such a view. It's too bad I had such view. It was just few years back my ideology was changed.

There are several ways to make money even as a student. I was not so exposed about these ideas until now. How I wish I knew what I know now back then in school, maybe my life would have been much better.

There are many things to do to make money while schooling. You can start up an online space as a vlogger, you can buy and sell, you can take care of services, you can write on steemit. There are just so many.

I know of a guy who sells noodles and egg as a student, he makes so much money that he expanded his business and till today that business still stands, now he has other branches. There are many examples but time will fail me to list them.

Steemit has proven to us that you don't need to finish school before making money all you need is have a smart phone or laptop, be unique or creative, be hardworking and patience and know how to read and write.

I see some users I know on steemit and I marvel because I have seen how well they are doing even without a degree.

I have seen displays of talent, skill, and creative here on steemit and less of degree. Degree does not really count here. What counts is your ability to prevent your self well either in arts, written, photography and many other. This seasons engagement challenge is a typical example of what am talking about.

How I wish I met steemit earlier. Maybe I would have own my own property and did a lot by now but all hope is not lost.
