Goal Setting
Hello guys,
It's another day of the week. It has been a very busy week for me with lots of activities lineups which hasn't given me the time to effectively carry out some of my task. I'm grateful to God for the opportunity to share my presentation on this topic today organised by the Steem4Nigeria Community.
| What is goal setting? Explain. |

Goal setting is the act or process of pening down some of the achievement or target you wish to make before the elapse of a given period or time. This means that before you set a goal you must ensure that you have sat down and draft and even have plans on ground as to how you can be able to achieve that result.
Goal setting has to do with planning and keeping records of the progress you make towards achieving a particular thing you have decided to achieve when you reach a certain stage of life or within a given period.
So setting a goal has a time frame and also a target which the goal setter is willing to achieve within a certain timeframe. So all of these combined is what we call goal setting.
Everyone who has vision and plans for the future always sets a goal and my case is no different and this is the main reason for participating in this contest today so I can confidently share my goals with everyone.
| We have short and long term goals, how can you differentiate them? |

Short term goal are goals which you will want to achieve within a limited timeframe like some hours, days, week or even a month. So this type of a goal is confined within the range I have shared and for that reason, this goal may not be too large because you will have others you will also work on as this may not stand the test of time.
Similarly, a long term goal is a goal that is achieved within a long timeframe such as months, year and more. This type of goal is set with the mindset that the result won't come immediately but it will stand the test of time when it finally comes.
So in a simple term, the long term goal is a goal that is achievable within a long period of time whereas the short term is achieved within a short period of time. These goals are set based on the priority and how far we want it to last.
| Which of the goals is the most important to you? |

Every goal is important but in the oder of priority I can confidently say that the long term goal is more important for me. Let's look at Steemit for example, it is an investment that I consider a long term investment because my aim and purpose is to grow my Steem Power and also support others with it via voting.
Furthermore, I intend to earn more curation reward daily with the increased Steem power. As you may know already, I earn some amount weekly as curation reward but this isn't enough for me because I needed more hence with more SP, I will be getting more of the rewards.
Based on this fact, you will agree with me that this isn't something that can be achieved within the shortest possible time hence it is a long term goal because building ones Steem power is never an easy task.
| Tell us about your short and long term goals in 2025 and how you intend to achieve them. |

For the year 2025, my long term goal is to continue building my Steem power the best way I can and also ensure that more curation reward is generated within the week. This will go a long way in helping me to grow even stronger in the platform as my Steem power will give me more influence on post payout.
So to achieve this task, I will remain focus and consistent in writing and powering up my Steem and see how I will be able to arrive at that desired goal in the long run.
Similarly, for the short term goal, I intend to advertise and educate or train others about the platform. It is consider short term because I will have a limited timeframe to discuss and guide them on how the system works. Though even on the long run, if they have further question they can go ahead and ask.
But at the moment, my intent is to use a couple of weeks to guide them through the platform so that we can have more Steemians around who will also change the narratives of their families if the opportunity is given to them.
