Hello friends,
I call you friends because of the level of relationship we have built here on this amazing platform. The platform has helped everyone on it and hence it is best we protect and defend it anywhere we find ourselves.

Over the past few weeks, I have been getting a lot of complaints from steemians both old and new and I have tried to answer most of the questions but I felt it will also be good to make this publication as it will also help those in the same situation who do not have access to speak with people like myself.

This article today is an encouragement for both new and old steemians to remain consistent and focused even when things are not going in their favour. A few questions were thrown at me about the reward system which I will be listing here today and the answers I gave to the various users. This is based on my personal opinion about the platform and every other person may have his or her views.

During my conversation with a few people who felt that they are tired of writing on the platform without support, the questions below were asked and I was able to answer based on my understanding. Let's look at the questions and the answers given for each of them.

  • Why is the vote support not reaching everyone?
  • Why are some persons constantly receiving votes whereas others don't?
  • Why is the SC02 voting on only those whose articles are posted a few minutes or hour before they start voting? (In the engagement challenge)
  • Why are those who posted earlier say about 10-11 hours before the curators start their votes don't get support?
  • Why is it that other curators say SC04-08 votes only one person a day whereas the chief curators can vote 3 articles of the same person a day?
The questions above are a few important questions which I have been able to tackle as a steemian on behalf of the platform in my little understanding. As I have said earlier, the steemit platform has contributed to the lives of all those on the platform hence it is our responsibility to have it protected when others want to paint it black.

Why is the vote support not reaching everyone?

When this question came to me from varieties of steemians most especially the newbies, I said to them that votes on the platform are not guaranteed and the population on the platform is very much hence they have to work hard to make themselves visible so that they too can get support.

I also told them that we have small curators using the SC03-SC09 account who search the platform for quality content to support and if they make it quality enough, it can also be selected fot the chief curators to support them via votes. Hence, the issue of the vote not reaching everyone shouldn't be mentioned.

Why are some persons constantly receiving votes whereas others don't?

There are indeed a few users who constantly receive votes and support. I didn't argue about this but I told them that those users didn't just start getting constant support and votes immediately after they joined the platform. If they can be sincere and trace the history of those users, they will know that those persons have kept a track record.

I used myself as an example for them. Sometimes I get good support and votes but in some cases, I don't and since I always remember that votes are not guaranteed, I don't allow it to bother me. Hence they should just work hard and keep a good track record so that they too will be noticed and given constant support.

Why is the SC02 voting on only those whose articles are posted a few minutes or hour before they start voting?

mine.PNG

These are quite difficult questions for me to answer but based on the little knowledge I had I told them that the steemit team decides on a voting pattern they want to use at any point in time and they may have their reason for doing that.

I told them, that they can only monitor the account and know when it will recover but that is also not a guarantee for the vote. Most times, it's luck as they may decide to pick those who recently posted or those who posted late. So whichever pattern the team wishes to use we can not do anything about that.

I advise them to post at any time because the curators can change their patterns at any point in time or they can watch the recovery time of the account and make their post at least an hour before the account recovers. If they are lucky, they will get the support they need.

Why are those who posted earlier say about 10-11 hours before the curators start their votes don't get support?

mine.PNG

Another important question. This also boils down to the previous question where curators only vote on recent posts. I told them that before this time, curators go down to start voting from the previous post but we have seen changes in recent seasons.

It's also a voting pattern by the steemit team. I suggested that instead of making complaints, they should just follow the present voting pattern of the curator and make their publication at least 1-2 hours before the curator starts voting and that is if they know exactly when the curator will start voting.

So as I have said earlier, this is the explanation I gave about these questions since I have very limited knowledge about how the entire thing is working at the moment. A few of them applied the approach and they confirmed that it worked out for them.

Why is it that other curators say SC04-08 votes only one person a day whereas the chief curators can vote for 3 articles of the same person a day?

mine.PNG

This is another important question I was able to attend to. As a curator, I was able to clearly explain how this process works. I told them that those working with the SC04-08 account are eligible to give two times votes to a steemian in a week and this is done this way so that votes can reach more people.

I also told them that those working as curators only vote once for themselves on their days of curation and that is how the SC04-08 is designed to work. In the case of the chief curators voting for a particular person more than once or twice daily, it is completely at the discretion of the team handling the account.

In my opinion, those are people who are working committedly for the betterment of the platform and who are known by the team for their job well done. I suggested that they too can work harder and get recognition from the team to get such a vote as well.

Conclusion

I want to believe that the answers given above will go a long way in keeping us active on the steemit platform even without votes or support from the chief curators. Recall that votes are not guaranteed and most times, we may not be lucky enough to get support as usual. I want to encourage steemians all over the world to put in more effort and for those who also have these questions at heart that my answers may be of help to them.

If you have any more questions you can drop them in the comment section of this post and we will also try to provide suitable responses to them. If you have any contributions to the questions I have also answered, please share your opinion to help both the new and old steemians on the platform. Thanks for your time.
