My Neighborhood Watch #78 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello 🤗 guys, I welcome you all to my blog today. Today, I want to join the contest with the title My Neighborhood Watch #78 - Reporting Events Around us This contest was organized by the @xkool24.

I have been away from the north for a while due to the commitment I had in Ebonyi State Nigeria which my beloved state of origin. I was in Akwanga Local government area of Nasarawa State working with Microcima Africa when I got the mail that my attention was needed.

At first I thought it is something I can go and come back immediately to continue with my work but on reaching their I noticed that I may need to stay more Soni came back to the north and tender my resignation since they can't give me a break or leave for that long.

Staying in the East for about 3 months now was something I never thought of. So when I finally finished, I came back to Nasarawa some days ago and precisely Akwanga and I noticed a lot of changes has taken place in the town. If I were in the East for at least 6 months maybe I couldn't have recognised Akwanga any longer.

The image above is one among the may pictures of the happening around this area. They are currently constructing a flyover in the round about of the town and they are also converting the road to a double lane to join it with the Abuja express way.

Before now they were working in Abuja to Markudi express way where we are to have double lane from Abuja to Markudi. This has already being achieved from Markudi to Lafia and some of Akwanga but they construction company just continued their work in Akwanga because they only touched a few place then.

The entire work is indeed a beautiful one that I'm currently seeing in the state. With the coming of this construction, a lot of shops has been shifted and also many have lost their goods because of the demolishing going on with shops along the road side that had to be removed for the task to be effective.

People are suffering at the moment because a lot of them don't have a place to sell again since their shops are destroyed. So that is some of the happening in my area at the moment.
