Trip to Aldeia de Couce - Serras de Valongo | Portugal

For the one i share today, it was not necessary to use old records saved on the external disk.
Next to the Santa Justa mountain range, where i have made some trails in this time of confinement and social distance, there is the Couce mountain range and its rustic village that was also the scene of many events and adventures in a teenage phase, in a different time than the one that it was lived in my childhood in the Santa Justa sierra.

There are five minutes that separate the bustle of the city from the deep calm of the Couce village, in the municipality of Valongo, with a whole rustic atmosphere, visibly old houses still made of schist, which unite in a narrow street, where about only four houses are inhabited and the number of people living in Couce is counted by the fingers of our hands.
A village that lives on the countryside, nature and the land, where animals exist in greater numbers than people and are their company, where peace and tranquility are a scratched record and music only changes when, in August, the village gets ready to receive the pilgrimage of the year, now imagine during this phase of confinement, because, i thought, that it would be another escape to the middle of the forest to do a little exercise in a place where the probability of crossing with someone would be immensely reduced, but i was wrong, and when i got there i came across an unusual number of people walking along the main road that connects the small town of Azenha in Valongo to the town of São Pedro da Cova in Gondomar, always with the Ferreira river accompanying the path and embellishing the stunning landscape.

Once there, we found the access to the village restricted to anyone who does not live there, and then we moved on away from the confusion and there we started the trail on foot through a more advanced and isolated place.
In this exit, it will be possible to portray this trail in stages due to the different scenarios that we found along the way, from abandoned houses and mills on the river bank and camouflaged by the nature that is queen and dictates the rules here, as well as huge cliffs and granitic protrusions in the face of the mountains and to accompany some macro photos of the fauna and flora in this region.

Fortunately I managed to make several interesting records before the lens that i have used to make some of the shared macros have burnt, that's right, i started having some difficulty in observing the subject clearly through the lens viewfinder and then the scenery started to get each darker until it started to smell an intense burning smell and it was no longer possible to see through the lens.

On top of that, it came from Germany and i had to send it back, now let's see how long it will take before it is fixed and returned.
Until then i will have to go back to the initial frame and the old strategy of the inverted lens to take some macros :)

That´s all for today :)

See you soon

Thank you for watching :)
