Greetings community! Today I come in response to an invitation given to me by brataka to show the streets of Venezuela .

Saludos comunidad! Hoy vengo en respuesta a una invitación que me dio @brataka para mostrar las calles de Venezuela .

Well, I really don't know if I can show you the streets of Venezuela because in the city of Cumana there is currently a very serious transportation problem, to the point that there is no public transportation and moving around the city is an odyssey since to get to the center of the city you must travel about 10 kilometers one way (from my house) and go through several police and guard stations (which are not very friendly to us).

Bueno realmente no sé si pueda mostrar las calles de Venezuela debido a que en la ciudad de Cumana actualmente existe un problema de transporte muy grave, al punto de no existir transporte público y el desplazamiento por la ciudad es una odisea ya que para llegar al centro de la ciudad se debe de recorrer cerca de 10 kilómetros solo de ida (desde mi casa) y pasar por varias alcabalas de policías y guardias (que nos están muy amistosos que se diga).

But since an invitation to use my wits is not refused, I decide to show my reality. What I can go through. The interesting thing and the reason why I accept this challenge is that I live in one of the main avenues of Cumana that on normal days is constantly transited by vehicles in droves and is (I would say) the main avenue that connects with all the entrances to the city.

Pero como una invitación a usar el ingenio no se niega, decido mostrar mi realidad. Lo que puedo recorrer. Lo interesante y la razón por la que si acepto este reto es que vivo en una de las Avenidas principales de Cumana que en días normales está constantemente transitada por vehículos a montones y es (diría yo) que la principal avenida que conecta con todas las entradas de la ciudad.

The fact is that I decide to go out for a "quick" walk of about 1 hour to see how everything is going and I find myself with literally "a desert". You can only see 5 or 8 people within 2 kilometers and coincidentally only 1 car that thought to enter one of the many urbanisms. Of the rest, not one, a lot of nothing...

El caso es que decido salir a dar un recorrido “rápido” cerca de 1 hora de caminata a ver cómo anda todo y me encuentro con literalmente “un desierto”. Solo se ve a 5 u 8 personas a 2 kilómetros a la redonda y casualmente 1 solo carro que pensaba entrar una de los tantos urbanismos. Del resto nada una, gran cantidad de nada….

I decide to return to the house since I didn't plan to stay outside walking senselessly in a long avenue with nobody around me and I pass by the other streets of the urbanism and that was the only place that I can say that there were people, but I must clarify... these streets that can be appreciated only with a small agglomeration of people in a grocery store of my locality generally are FULL of children and teenagers either playing talking or simply walking besides seeing the neighbors walking to visit and to share (nice way of saying gossiping XD).

Total que decido retornar a la casa ya que no pensaba quedarme afuera caminando sin sentido en una extensa avenida con nadie a mi alrededor y paso por las otras calles del urbanismo y ese fue el único lugar que puedo decir que había personas, pero debo de aclarar… estas calles que pueden apreciar solo con una pequeña aglomeración de persona en un abasto de mi localidad generalmente se encuentran FULL de niños y adolescentes bien sea jugando hablando o simplemente caminando además de ver a los vecinos caminando para visitarse y compartir (manera bonita de decir chismeando XD).

After all, this is my city (part of it, but you understand) and this is what its streets look like, because of this terrible pandemic that is holding us captive.

A final de cuentas esta es mi Ciudad (más bien parte, pero ustedes entienden) y así se ven sus calles, a causa de esta terrible pandemia que nos mantiene cautivos.

For pictures I used my old Xperia Tipo phone, because even if no one could see it, it's better to be prepared.

Para las fotografías use mi teléfono viejito Xperia Tipo, porque aunque no se viera nadie es mejor estar prevenidos.
