Lianny Guardian of the Magic Portal

Greetings dear Steemians!!!

My son loves cats but since we have a dog we cannot have a cute kitten, some neighbors do have cats and my son always sees them and plays with them... a few days ago I was coming home and my neighbor's cat was standing Looking over our fence, I imagine looking for my son to play since my son plays with her from the inside and she always stands outside on the other side of the fence. The truth is that she looked so cute and since she is a very chubby cat she looked sweeter.

Days later I was doing some sketches and my son gave me an idea, to draw a cat and then I remembered that day that I saw my neighbor's cat and together with my son we started to design this character, my son helped with the appearance of the kitty and then we were designing the clothes and other things, being almost ready, it lacked a background and after thinking a bit and as it is something of fantasy we thought about making it a magical portal and my son loved it.

After that he gave me the idea that she was the guardian of that portal and that's how our work ended and"Lianny Guardian of the Magic Portal" was born

In this illustration I did not make a sketch with lines, I just painted a little of how my son and I wanted to do it and then leave from there.

Then I made the design of the clothes which I wanted to make very bright, and to accompany the character my son told me to make him a scepter.

After spending time with the background, I decided to enlarge the canvas and continue working on the clothes and since my son is a fan of the cat in boots, he told me to make boots for our design.

FINAL RESULT

For the background I made a portal that my son said, for that I made several layers of lights and details and with the help of some other adjustments I finished the magic portal. Then I finished what was missing was the head and this new character was ready.

¡Hola Carmen!

Thank you very much!!!

lovely work - maybe you should do more with your son as your studio inspiration! I remember my son who inspired me (ages ago) - he is now 20, but sometimes I wish I still had him back with me as the cute little munchkin he once was. Something we did once was that he drew a portrait mask of me with crayons but left the eyes out, which I then finished. Unfortunately, this image was a analog photo (scanned) before there was any digital, and I lost a whole bunch of photos in a HD crash.

Thank you <3<3<3 ! I'm glad to hear that you liked our design. Yes, I have done it on some occasions and I will surely do it in more lol, it is always fun to share those moments with him since he likes to draw too

Wow! It is great that you also shared with your child those moments of fun art, when they are children they have an immense and free imagination and if they like to draw they can do many things. Sometimes the things they do seem a little crazy, but in a way they have their charm lol ... My son now decided to make character designs for cards (He said he was going to make a game when he was big ...), he has more than forty. Before, I used to draw pictures of strange people and strange creatures.
Oh! Your son is already grown up, but maybe at some point they can do those things they used to do, right? or do you live far away? only now you can save them and you won't lose them, although, if before you couldn't save the works in digital, they were still in your mind, those moments won't be lost there.
.
Greetings and take care!
