Inflation has hit the whole world severely. The prices of everything, all over the world are hiking as they have never before. The currency is unstable, the economy is in turmoil and it's getting more and more difficult for the lower middle class and the poor people to survive. This might sound a lot dramatic to some of you, but it's the reality that we're going through at the moment. One sad example of this case is the current situation in Sri Lanka. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the Sri Lankans on this platform.
In this post, I'll be taking part in the contest organized by @steemitfoods in which we have to share our favorite Supermarket. We can have a comparison of rates of the items all over the world, through this contest, this will help us in engaging with users all around the world and share our thoughts on the inflation.
For this contest, I'll write about one of my favorite supermarkets that happens to be close to my house. We visit it occasionally and buy items for our house. The Supermarket is:
BIN HASHIM
Located on the main University road, Bin Hashim caters to over a thousand customers every day. The best thing about this supermarket is that it has everything that you need on daily basis. From having dairy products to meat. From cleaning items to pet food, the mart has everything.
As soon as we enter the mart, the first thing that we can see is the chocolates and the drinks section. The mart has all the chocolates available in Pakistan and that too at affordable rates. As a chocolate lover, I love this. The chocolates are stored in s refrigerator, which keeps them fresh and tasty. They have different types of chocolates, such as the smooth milk, dark chocolates, KitKat, m&ms and many more items
The beverage section has all the drinks available as well. There are soft drinks, a variety of juices, and water bottles and the best thing is that all the drinks are available in different sizes and Volumes.

The next up is the bakery section. In this part of the mart, all the bakery-related items ate available, such as bread, cake, rusk, eggs, donuts, etc. All the items are fresh and are replaced on daily basis. The mart gets the fresh items every morning.

Up next is the meat section where fresh meat is available all the time. One might wonder how's that possible. Every morning animals are slaughtered in the butchery and the meat is provided to the mart. The meat is then stored in the refrigerator. They have different options, such as chicken, mutton, beef

Right next to the meat section is the fruit and veggies section where fresh vegetables are available throughout the day, but I'd say you'd get even fresh fruits and vegetables if you go to the mart early in the day. As time passes, the freshness decreases considerably.

After moving on from this section, I had to cater to my mom's demands. As we eat a lot of flour, it's almost a daily routine to get flour, oil, and sugar from the mart.

Finally, after all this, I finally moved to the section that I was interested in and I had no orders from my mom to buy anything from there. Yes, I am talking about the Pet section. I have a lot of cats at my place and I have to look after them. Buy litter, cat food, and other items for them regularly.

After purchasing what I had to, I moved toward the counter to get the bill. That's where I put my phone inside my pocket as people had already started judging me 😂

Hola @juanito1 Hiciste tremendo post, organizando muy bien la información, la verdad que comparo los precios de acá y están casi iguales alguno y otros exageradamente caros los converti en dolares y fíjate que los precios de acá se parecen a eso y nosotros hemos llegado a tener inflación de hasta 300% anual, en lo últimos años y justo en esta ciudad por ser petrolera la cosa es peor. Por cierto eso que pones de nombre Petróleo es una bebida?, Gracias por el post, saludos desde Venezuela.
Hello @steemcurator01 could you please guide me (us) on an issue? I tried posting this with power up 100% but there was a transaction (RPC) error. Could you please tell what was the reason of that? I had to post it with 50% sbd and 50% sp. Why are we not able to post with 100% powerup?
