Hi, dear Steemians and SteemFoodies!

It's my Day 11 in the Fifth Season of the Food Diary Game. It's Tuesday, and it's been 4 days since my last 50 SP power-up. I'm going to power up every week or whenever I reach 50 Sp, whichever comes first. So I'm expecting to power up again any time this week.

My food-day started with coffee, as usual. The parrots woke me up at 5:30 a.m., 30 minutes before than usual, so I finished my first coffee while lying on the couch. It was a dark, strange morning. I fell asleep again. Our parrots are usually quiet until the first light at 6 a.m., which happens later than usual these days, by the way. I woke up at 6:45 a.m. and turned on the lights because it was still too dark and poured myself another cup of coffee.

I had a get-together with some friends I hadn't seen in months. I had planned to bake two chickens, but they were rather small...

So I cleaned and cut up four chickens to take just the thighs and breasts.

Then I added some pork chops as well because we were 10 of us in all.

I mixed the wine, garlic, honey and salt in the blender...

And used it to marinate the chicken and pork.

Then I added rosemary, cumin, oregano and bay leaves.

After the chicken and pork were marinating, I was ready for a late breakfast. I made arepas and filled them with fried ham and mozzarella cheese.

At 3:30 p.m., I made a quick chicken soup for a late lunch.

Before 5 p.m. we left to pick up my comadre and her family to go to our friends' house.

I brought the tray of chicken and pork chops, which had already been marinating for over 6 hours.

The oven worked perfectly.

Our host stoked the flames with coconut shells. As you can see, it was a very good flame.

We had a great time at our dinner party.

We ate to our hearts' content.
My comadre was in charge of serving. On each plate were baked chicken and pork chops, parboiled yucca (from my compadres' harvest), eggplant vinaigrette, baked ripe plantain and salad (potatoes, carrots and beans, dressed with my homemade garlic mayonnaise). Just look!

El marinado quedó muy bien, pero como sabemos, un horno a leña hace maravillas, incluso si la carne no leva ni sal. Saludos y gracias por la visita, @lilip 🥰
