I wish I wrote it down

Do you ever make something for the first time, but forget to write down how you did it?

In my years of absence in the crypto-sphere, I was mostly too tired to do much interesting cooking/baking-wise. Sometimes, though, I did try to create something new or follow a recipe with various amounts of success.

Before my years of absence, I would then write about it, link to the recipe or jot down the recipe in my blog post. The best ones would then also move to my Wordpress website, where I can always find the recipes of successful baking or cooking projects.

These last few years, I barely had the energy to try something new, let alone jot anything down. If I'm very, very lucky, I might find the recipe again in some kind of Pinterest list, but most are kinda lost on me.

I've been scrolling through my highlights and I think that some can probably be reconstructed or found through the almighty Google!

I remember making these egg rolls a few years back. No recipe or link saved. They were really tasty, but I don't think there was anything special about this particular recipe. So lucky me, there's Google if I ever want to try this again!

How could I not write this recipe down! So from the picture, it seems to be a cherry 'monchou' (cream cheese) kinda thing. Oreo at the bottom. I can piece this together again from a random monchou recipe, so again: Google to the rescue!

These kinda look like my lemon bars recipe, so I'm hoping this is just a recreation of that. I think I baked it for my birthday at work...

So... some kind of bread sticks thingies? No recipe for this one. I'm guessing puff pastry, grated cheese and a green pesto. Could be nice home made snacks for a party!

Oh, I remember this beet lasagne. It was really tasty, but I didn't save the recipe. There's a couple available online though, so I could try to recreate it from those. I think it's two different kinds of cheese and some creamy thingy...

Now this one hurts! Gosh, it was so delicious. I guess I'll have to try and recreate this one from brownie recipes with plenty of chocolate chips and walnuts added. You know what the upside is though? I'll get to eat lots of brownies until I get this right!

The moral of this story: Save your recipes!
