Steemians miloves hello! :-)

How are you today? Hope you all doing good, safe and healthy. Today I will be sharing to you how to make a homemade remedy that I use treating mild cough and any throat related problems. As we always hear, "Prevention is better than cure."

Ingredients for this remedy are easily found and always available in our households. These are the following: fresh ginger, apple cider vinegar and honey. Shocked? Yes! That three simple ingredients are the key!

Ratio of the ingredients: 2:1:1/2. That means, two cups of ginger is to one cup of apple cider vinegar is to half a cup of honey(if its organic, much better!).

Are you excited? I am too! Well here are few simple steps how to do it. Let's begin!

First, properly cleaned the ginger with water. Make sure to use clean water because we are going to use this as remedy. If it possible, use potable water. Peel the ginger. Don't over peel, because you might be peeling the most essential part of the ginger. Peel as thin as its skin. Sliced it into chips form, for easier bites when your done with the whole process.

Next is measure the ingredients with its corresponding ratios; two cups of ginger , one cup of apple cider vinegar and half a cup of honey to taste in compliment with ginger burst and sourness of the vinegar. Get a clean pot, put all the ingredients together and mixed it properly! DO NOT put water to avoid early spoilage. The apple cider vinegar will act as a natural preservative to the ginger allowing you to keep the remedy for about two weeks at least at a room temperature.

After putting and mixing all the ingredients together. Bring the pot into low medium heat and and let it boil and simmer for about 5-10 minutes enough not to over cook the ginger.

Lastly let it cool down. Get a clean container where you can store it and make sure it has a cover lid and close it tightly to preserve its freshness. Avoid putting the container in a direct sunlight.

Allow me to quote few words from Anne Wilson Schaef, “Good health is not something we can buy. However, it can be an extremely valuable savings account.”

Thank you so much #steemfoods for giving me this opportunity to share this homemade remedy.

Above all, I am always grateful to @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02, @steemcurator06, @cryptokannon, @steemitblog and @booming for sponsoring the SteemFoods Community.
