in Steem Alliance2 years ago

Hello friends,

I believe you are doing great and fine because I am doing good 😊.

It is my pleasure to appear before you today to relate on the very common mistakes made by newbies that can cost them a lot in their early stages on steemit.

Yes, there are some things that newbies do, although not dubious in nature, but they are things that shouldn't be done on steemit.

Well, we understand that such things are done out of lack of knowledge and today we shall be considering some of those mistakes.

POSTING IN THE WRONG COMMUNITY

Getting the right community to post in has always been a challenge for newbies on steemit.

They have this impression that they can start blogging immediately they create their steemit account and this is not always true.

We know that once your steemit account is created, the first community you will be needed to make a post in is the newcomers community, and you will be needed to make your introductory post.

Without your introductory post on steemit, it will be quite difficult for you to make any reasonable progress, unless you are coming as a curator.

Even as a curator, sometimes you need to let yourself become known.

There are different communities on steemit and each of these communities have different aim and purpose.

For example, the newcomers community is created to assist newcomers on steemit, steemit crypto academy community is a community created for crypto related blogs.

As a newbie, you need to discern the purpose of a community before you proceed to make your post in the community.

NOT JOINING THE #CLUB INITIATIVE

The Importance of the #club initiative on steemit cannot be overemphasized.

As a newbie you need to support the #club initiative to grow.
Without supporting the #club initiative, you will not receive support from the steemit team, and you need this support to grow.

The #club initiative helps you to grow your steemit account which in turn increases your influence as a newbie on steemit.

As a newbie you can choose to be a member of #club5050, #club75 or #club100.
Ideally #club100 gives you preference to other newbies on steemit.

Club5050 implies that in the last 30days you have powered up half of your liquid earnings.

Club75 implies that in the last 60days you have powered up at least 75% of your liquid earnings.

And club100 implies that in the last 90days, you have powered up all your liquid earnings.

As a newbie, you need to join the club status to grow on steemit.

SPAM TAGGING OLDER ACCOUNT

As a newbie, I used to feel uncomfortable if I don't tag older accounts whenever I make a post, I couldn't resist the urge to do do.

As I spent more time on steemit, I came to realize that it is so unnecessary to tag big account on steemit as it can hinder your growth on the platform.

It is not a wrong practice to tag your mentor on steemit, this will help to notify your mentor whenever you make a post, and as such, he can help check the quality of your post.

The wrong practice is to tag other account unnecessarily, it can hinder your growth on steemit.

MAKING USE OF THE WRONG HASHTAG

Many newbies have fallen prey to this mistake on steemit.

To grow on steemit, you have to make use of the right hashtag as it helps to attract the needed people to your post.

For example, the use of #clubdolphin Is for steemians that have just attained a steempower of 5000 or multiple of 5000.

As a newbie, making use of #clubdolphin will hinder your growth on steemit, as the tag is inappropriate for the setting.

CONCLUSION

The aim of this post is to ensure that newbie learn about the operation of steemit and stop making little mistake that can hinder their growth.

I hope Newbies can have a blissful journey on steemit.
