Understanding Seed Phrase.

Today we would be looking at the topic Seed Phrase, it's quite an interesting topic and of course the reason for sharing this is just to enlighten us and help us have a better understanding of how this terrain works. Kindly sit back and enjoy every bit of what I've got to share.

Introduction

The day we stop learning is the very day we start dying. I see Knowledge beyond just power, knowledge is life. You could save yourself from a lot by just being knowledgeable and having an unquenchable thirst for it. I know you might be wondering what this topic is all about. Some of us might just be hearing or seeing it for the first time.

Well am going to take you on a journey of enlightenment. The topic we are about to explore is one that has to do with our personal security as touching our dealings in this terrain. Seed Phrase plays a lot of role in securing our asset and saving us from having experiences that touches the heart. Let's get into it right away guys.

What's a Seed Phrase

Seed Phrase are often referred to as recover phrase, they comprise of random words generated by your crypto wallet at the point of setting it up after downloading to use for the first time. This phrases are very important, they look simple and casual but it means everything to you as a wallet user.

This is the reason why it also referred to as recover phrase because it would play a very significant role in recovering your wallet if you lost your access to it by any means. Hence the reason why it should be kept very safe, safe from even the Internet so it doesn't get stolen by unwanted folks.

You know in this crypto space we are our own banker, we cut the short, we maintain a wallet that serve as our bank and we have the key or access to this wallet including the seed Phrase which operates as the master key to the wallet.
That's the major difference between a private key and the seed Phrase.

Bear in mind that both the private key and the seed Phrase grant access to the wallet, hence the reason why both should be kept off sight. Another technique deployed by some malicious folks out there is that they sometimes pretend like they are some customer care agent from your wallet provide and then ask for your seed Phrase.

Giving them would jeopardize your entire wallet, they are subtle in their request just to scam unsuspecting folks who do do not know that the seed phare could equally grant them access to their wallet even without the private key and once they get it, they would empty the account from their end.

A Typical Example of a Seed Phrase

Just as mentioned earlier, a seed Phrase comprises a group of random words usually between 12 - 24 character depending on your wallet provider. It could take the form of the following below.

Book	Pen
Road	River
Swim	Jotter
Boy	Running
Box	center
Country	machine

This is a type of Seed Phrase, well I just cooked this up from my head, am not sure this resonates with any user in the world since it just some random pick. One should also take note of the order and arrangement when storing a seed phrase, if it is wrongly stored, I mean if it not stored chronological or in the order in which it was given, you might still be restricted from your wallet. Hence the need to carefully observe and take note of how it was given.

It important to mention that the random words used as seed phrase are actually a translated version of a very long string of numbers which is technically referred to as entropy. Recording that long string of numbers as ones recovery code without making errors is really something very difficult and sometimes impracticable.

Hence the translation into some random English words which are drawn from a total of 2048 word you can relate with and find very easy to record for safety purpose. So the idea of seed Phrase has made it a lot easier to have it noted down and stored without making sincere errors.

In addition, you must ensure you do not have a digital copy of your seed Phrase, it must not be anywhere online and if you you decided to have it on paper, do well to keep it very safe. Safe from where it could be easily destroyed by just anything.

I believe by now we understand what Seed Phrases are and their positive impact in the crypto and wallet management. Do not forget you're your own banker and the responsibility of keeping your vault safe is in your hand. Do well to safeguard your seed Phrase and do not disclose it for any reason. No one should be interested in having it...not even for the most genuine reason.
