The terms "vote weight" and "voting power" are completely separate concepts.
The first is the amount of your vote that you can cast, which is decided by the stake you own, and the second is the worth of your vote, which is established by the percentage of the vote that is at your disposal.

Consequently, you might have found a simple way to keep yours before you've finished reading this article. Over the past few months, it has become impossible for me to maintain my voting power above 80% for more than 24 hours.

Over 90% is thought to be the ideal percentage.

Many curators want to keep their vote weight above 90%, although even 5% of their vote weight is significant and large enough to provide a voting depth that would express the curator's view on the content.

The Higher The Stake, The Better To Express Your View On Content

A big curator can really express his/her thoughts on the content, the voting depth might be fair, good or excellent depending on the curator view. However, a small curator owner may find it challenging to fully express their thoughts when their stake is small.

A manual upvoter, for instance, always has thoughtful justifications for what they do.

We cannot argue against the fact that curation is a lovely and lucrative activity, but it's simple to get engrossed in the pageantry of selecting what to curate when to curate, and the percentage of votes you're going to allocate.

I've found that having a highly consistent APR can be maintained by being a chain curator. According to steemworld.org, I have an effective 6,963.31 Steem Power and earn an verage 13 SP weekly, but I don't really care because I'm more interested in curating than in maximizing the returns.
