Come Down To The River............ NW Cascade Wanderings

This morning we headed out to the last later service for the summer at church. During July and probably August, there will be one combined service at 9:30. I’m kind of hoping it’s not overcrowded! I guess we’ll find out next week! During the last part of the service, it was announced that we had raised-actually raised over the 1.1 million dollars needed to purchase the land for the building of our new church. Just a few weeks ago, we were just around $800,000.

The plan is to close this August. So now, the raising of funds is focused on the building itself. I think we all are looking forward to one service with all of us present.

After church, we decided to go to the river. It poured, and I mean POURED, rain overnight. It woke me up from a sound sleep! The river is up just a little as it takes a bit of time for the run off to register. Unfortunately, it was humid as all get out, and pretty uncomfortable. Just walking slowly through the rocks would cause sweat to break out.

Here’s some river eye candy!

On the way back to the car, I spied Pepe Frog! 🐸

#pepe

He was enjoying the clammy weather!

As we got closer to the car, there’s a field of corn which by summer’s end, will be nigh on 8’+ tall or more!

Last but not least, a pretty little patch of violas were growing.

Our son and his wife were out in eastern Washington and sent this very buggy video!

I don’t think I would have ventured out of the car at all! 😳

Well, that’s gonna be it for today. We are at the start of a new week with a holiday for those in the US on Thursday. I get my workweek broken up! Nice!

Take care and enjoy the week ahead! 🙏🙏🇮🇱🇺🇦
