Springtime is Such a Beautiful Time in Nature!

Slowly, it feels less and less like winter around here.

Finally, it has warmed up enough that our apricot tree is blooming!

It's one of our prettiest fruit trees, even though it doesn't necessarily set very many blooms.

With this winter being particularly cold for the region, the flowers were a bit sparse this year.

Apricots aren't actually supposed to grow here, or certainly not grow well here, but our tree is quite old and every 4-5 years it produces a lot of fruit.

Not sure why they planted an apricot tree here; apples are far more the "local" fruit.

But we still enjoy looking at our tree, even when we don't get fruit!
