We all need to know about using markdowns.
Many ask how to make a quality post.
Some steemians ask why we are not upvoted.
Do we probably miss how to make quality content because we don't use the right markdowns?

I have suffered a lot. Not knowing how to make a good post. Markdowns are very important and mostly the newcomers don't know how to use the markdowns.
What should be used at the start and at the end of the post you have to use the markdown.
To write something in the center you have to use them.

To write something in bold ‚ when you add the picture you have to make sure your picture is in the center you use the same markdowns as we use to make the text in the center.

How can we guide?

The thing is how can we guide others to use markdowns when we write on this platform it doesn't seem where we write. It shows markdown sliding. How can we tell others? We use Discord ‚ Instagram‚ Telegram‚ Whatsapp to guide. But we don't invite all the steemians to join. We can guide everyone about clubs‚ beneficiaries etc by making posts but how can we guide markdowns?

I remember when I joined Steemit I don't know even what they are. Some said you should use them while writing. I was so confused.

So @wakeupkitty @rashid001 @solperez @el-nailul @mikitaly what do you think about this? What should we do to let newcomers know about markdowns?

To be fair I never used them. I am a phone user so what I type and see looks good. It was about 7 months ago someone told me about justifying my text. I hate it. I hated it from the very first day. What I see on my phone is disturbing and texts are hard to read.

What I also do not understand is why if this is so important Steemit of apps we use not automatically make text look good.
I have to type every code and check what it looks like or how I think it might look like and if that wouldn't be the case it would save me at least 7 hours per day.
Seven hours, yes you read it right to edit, check, switch screens, and more nonsense asked, and in return I see text hard to read.

If a book was printed in the way I see it on my phone I would never read it again.

By the way: good content has nothing to do with markdowns.
Good is the text that generates a feeling within the reader.

As far as I know, Steemit had always a list with markdowns if it came to writing bold text, cursive, and the "sub".. this option is removed recently. What is left it the template.
I once looked at it and had no idea what to do. It looked complicated.

I have the "codes" so I will do it my way. I don't like all those entries looking the same. To me, markdowns spoil poetry and kill creative writing.

If we talk about the importance of markdowns, I would say that four years ago, when the 1000 Days of Steem was announced, a lot of emphasis was placed on markdowns for the beauty of the post. In Diary games, how to set paragraphs, how the text should look, how to adjust images, etc.

Curation was done according to all these points. But the current curation method seems a bit different from the previous one. Because now less emphasis is placed on it. Earlier, no attention was paid to where new users were coming from and who onboarded them. Then, the country representatives were responsible for teaching basic things like markdowns to the users.

how can we guide markdowns?

Now, things have become much easier for new users. So, whoever onboards a new user, it is their responsibility to first provide complete information about Steemit and posting to that user. And for this, all the tutorials and guides are available in the newcomers' community's Pinned Posts, and only after learning everything (basic knowledge) from there, the new users get verified.

So you can read and share this New Comers Guide to any newbie you want to guide about Basics. :-)

Oh you are right but I dont see anywhere post about markdowns yet because how can we write markdowns they disappear when we write.

You said right things are changed criteria is changed but the post didn't look quality post if markdowns are not mentioned properly.

You are right there is information about everything but mostly still don't know that what are markdowns how and where we use them.

Thanks for reading ☺️

Yup that is right but you know what moderators and curators guide us? I remember when I recently joined steemit platform some say your content is good but have you use markdowns to make it quality post.
I never understood even what markdowns meant to be then I search for it. Some guides me and said now you will see how better your post look like when you use markdowns when you compared if from your old post.

Besides some markdowns are important and essential just as for line space keeping the words in center when you write poems. It looks authentic way when you use. We can't say they are meant nothing.
