FROM SOUTHERN KADUNA HILLS

They came back to campaign their Jihad,
To claim the victory their parents never had;
Primitive barbarians whose hatred is never gone, Came to revenge as they claimed, "Herdsmen with guns"?

Come see your product man with skin painted white, For your gain you poisoned them to think 'ruling is their right'.
Greed and desires of the few is my definition of democracy;
I mean my country's government of today is so crazy.

Of all hills in southern Kaduna I hiked the greatest,
So endowed simply with nature though the toughest.
Pleasantly boulders greeted me,
I remember thinking it will fall on we.
But this place raised legends,
I believe firmly we will not be their subjects.
This great Hill also weep
It cries bloodshed and sees their weapons sweep.

From southern Kaduna hills
I pray your wound heals
Though from your home they want you to peel
The one above the skies and hills join you to feel
The grieves in your heart so deep
As your prayers makes his phone bleep
He has promised you a leap
Into victory and peace till songs of joy fill your lip.
