Hawaii from the air: Airport Reef Runway, Diamondhead and Kokohead Volcanos

Hawaii is beautiful

Daniel Inouye International Airport, Honolulu, Hawaii.

As I flew into Honolulu, I was treated to a lovely view of the famous Reef Runway, an actual airplane runway built on an ocean reef.

In this third picture you can see the coral reef around the runway, affirming that the Reef Runway is actually on an ocean reef.

Twin Volcanos

It was at this point I realized that I could also see two volcanos East of the Airport.

Diamond Head and Koko Head

The volcanos were gorgeous and the sky a gorgeous hue of blue.

Diamond Head volcano is in the foreground, and Koko Head is in the background.

I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do. These pictures remind me and hopefully you how important it is to be present; actually aware of the world around us, as we move through our day. The earth is an amazing place to live, and our eyes will see some amazing things if we focus on the present moment and be present.

The End…for now.
