Weekly Reflections #26: A Fresh Start - What Will You Do Differently in 2025?
Hello dear Steemians,
It's my pleasure to participate in this contest hosted by @damithudaya. This contest gives us the opportunity to express ourselves on what we achieved in the previous year.
What’s one thing you learned last year that you are proud of?
Last year I learned so many things. In fact, most of these things are life lessons that helped me in one way or another to cope with the challenges I may encounter. Patience is one of the major things I learned. I realized that when we have patience, we have everything. That's why some elderly people say patience is a virtue. Patience is not easy, except for those who have God behind them. The patience I have has helped me achieve so many things in the workplace, with family, and with friends.
I can remember when I wanted to buy a chalk mould. I didn't have money at that moment, but I believed God would provide the money. After I waited for a long time, the organization I work for unexpectedly gave us money. I quickly used the money to purchase the mould and materials. The next day, I began the production and sold the chalk to different government schools in my area. I am proud of that because I used the money I earned to support my family.
What key area of your life do you want to
change or improve this year?
The key area I want to change in my life is to stop thinking negatively toward the goal I want to achieve. I want to acquire the habit of positive thinking in order to feel happy every day. This will motivate me to start engaging in some projects that will yield good profits in return. Procrastination is a big issue that hinders the progress of someone's life. This year, I will try to avoid procrastination because I believe that everything will work out the way I want if it does not involve procrastination.
Are there any habits or skills you plan to develop in the new year?
Like I said earlier, I am into chalk production and I am proud of that. Schools will resume on Monday in Nigeria, so different schools will need chalk to write for their students. I make money from that. Another skill I want to acquire is to improve my writing skills, and I love that. The Steemit platform helps me discover my talent. In fact, my English language has improved because I discovered some terminologies used in blockchain.
Describe your vision and plan to achieve at the end of this year
Thanks to the developers of the Steemit platform who give us the opportunity to share different ideas and learn new things on a daily basis. I am an active Steemian who powers up my Steem after post payout to meet the requirements of being a moderator so that I can review and organize contests for users who want to participate.
By the end of the year, I will work toward accumulating more Steem Power so that my target goal of being a moderator can be achieved.
Conclusion
New year, new opportunities will happen in our life if we plan effectively and efficiently because most of the goals that fail are not planned properly. I will like to invite @entity01, @jasminemarry and @zulbahri to participate in this contest.
