The Diarygame Saturday 30th November 2024: Attending The 2024 National Meetup For Nigerian Steemians
Dear Diary,
I am excited to write you, to share my most memorable day on steemit journey with you. 30th November 2024 has been the most memorable day for me on steemit because I got to meet so many steemit users in person. This was the 2024 National Meetup Day For Nigerian Steemians. You see the reason I say was the most memorable for me on the steemit platform in 2024! Let me tell you how the meetup was.
Introduction Of Users
The moderator of the Event came forward in front of Nigeria's Steemit users who were present at the occasion and welcomed everyone to the special occasion, then introduced himself. Afterward, every user who was present at the event had the privilege of introducing himself or herself, starting with greetings and then the steemit username. Users like Nsijoro, Ninapenda, loolluv, etc, introduced themselves, and I was thrilled to meet them in person. @johnmitchel, was the moderator or the MC; you did well, bro. Let me tell you about another segment of the occasion.
Calling Of Reputable Users To the High Table
The moderator of the event invited reputable steemit users to the high table that would lecture the audience about steemit and how to succeed on the platform. These reputable users like Xkool24, benton03, ninapenda, ruthjoe, goodybest, ngoenyi, eliany, sahmie, eveetim, etc. I was thrilled to meet all these users in person. @xkool24 boss, @ninapenda, @sahmie, @bonaventure24, and @ruthjoe, thank you for traveling miles from your respective states of origin to Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. It was a great sacrifice on your part, and you know what? I was encouraged and thrilled to meet you.
Lectures Segment
(1) Why Steemit?: During this part of the lecture, we were enlightened on why we ought to choose steemit from all the social media platforms. The following reasons were given;
- steemit is a decentralized social media Blockchain
- steemit creates an avenue for making friends with real people all over the world
- there are educative articles on steemit that one can read and learn
- users receive incentives for writing quality posts
@ngoenyi lectured us on this, and she made it interactive and interesting; I appreciate you, ma'am.
(2)The steemit learning challenge: During this lecture, we were enlightened on the ongoing steemit learning challenge. The lecturer informed us that there are a variety of topics on the steemit learning challenge, like topics about health, for example how to perform CPR, makeup, and computer programming, that we can learn and stand a chance of being rewarded by the steemit team, this never happened elsewhere. She also informed us that if we're skilled in any area, we can apply and stand a chance of impacting knowledge to people. We were encouraged to engage in other users' posts by commenting and voting; through this, we would be visible on the platform and make friends. @goodybest lectured us on this; thanks, ma'am, for imparting knowledge.
(3)The way forward: During this part of the lecture, we were told to make friends and be active. New users were encouraged to make reputable users their mentors so these can guide them on how to make quality posts, where to post a certain post, and when to post. Users were encouraged to be active, and supportive by voting and commenting on other users' posts. @Xkool24 enlightened us on this; thanks, boss, once again.
Question And Answer
In this session of the event, a room was opened to the audience to ask questions, and answers were given accordingly. In the end, everyone was satisfied with the answers given by the reputable users.
Mystery Box
This was a fun part of the Event. A mystery box was brought forward, which contained gifts for users; they were all wrapped. The steemit username of the receiver would be posted on the parcel, then he would be called upon for collection accordingly. Users like ngoenyi, goodybest, etc, received gifts. @bossj23 hosted this part of the occasion, and interestingly about twenty users received gifts. @bossj23, I am still waiting for my gift😆.
Vote Of Thanks And Photograph Taking
Benton thanked all the users for honoring the invitation and wished all a safe journey. Then, we took pictures, group pictures, and individual pictures.

We danced and enjoyed ourselves, you may watch the video below
The meetup was quite interesting and enjoyable, we met physically with some of Nigeria's Steemians whom circumstances permitted to be present at the venue. We ate and drank at the meetup, we were refreshed. This event promoted steemit because some who are not steemit users were at the venue and they heard all about steemit. Thanks to the Organizing team, @steemkdss, @steem4nigeria, @goodybest.
This has been my diary!
Best regards
